Wonderful Experience
Our family had a fantastic stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and excellent service made us feel right at home.
The breakfast was a real highlight huge variety of both Indonesian and international dishes, and everyone found something they loved. The lagoon-style pool was beautiful and perfect for both kids and adults, and our children had a great time at the Kids Club.
Special thanks to Namira and Adit from the wellness team, and especially to Helmi at the Concierge. He gave us excellent recommendations and helpful tips that made exploring Jakarta much easier and more enjoyable.
We highly recommend this hotel for families and would definitely come back!

A Little Below My Expectations for a DoubleTree by Hilton
I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta Cikini to celebrate my birthday with my family. I booked three rooms for my family
This review is based entirely on my personal experience during our stay. I hope it can serve as constructive feedback for the hotel while also helping future guests make an informed decision.
There are several aspects of the hotel that deserve recognition. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. The swimming pool is beautiful and creates a relaxing atmosphere, especially for families. Parking was convenient, and the Kids Club was quite enjoyable according to my daughter. I also appreciated the children’s activity passport, where kids collect stamps throughout their stay and receive an ice cream upon check-out. It’s a thoughtful touch that families will likely enjoy.
When I reported an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drainage system, the housekeeping and engineering teams responded promptly and attempted to resolve the issue. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, and while the food was not particularly memorable, it was enjoyable overall.
Unfortunately, several aspects of the service left me feeling that the overall experience fell short of what I have come to expect from the DoubleTree brand.
The first surprise was the hotel’s 11:00 AM check-out policy. I understand that every hotel has its own policies and that the hotel was experiencing high occupancy during the weekend. After a little complaint , I was granted a late check-out until 12:30 PM, which I appreciated. However, I believe a warmer and more guest-oriented approach from the beginning would have created a much better first impression.
The unpleasant drainage odor in our room also remained noticeable throughout our stay despite the treatment performed by the engineering team. While I appreciate their quick response, the issue itself was never fully resolved.
Another point that stood out was the location of the smoking area, which is directly adjacent to the swimming pool. Considering that this area is frequently used by families and young children, I believe this layout could be reconsidered.
Some of the hotel’s policies also felt rather inflexible. For example, the complimentary breakfast age limit for children is lower than what I have experienced at several comparable hotels. In addition, when we asked to take away a very small amount of leftover food that belonged to our child, we were initially told it was not allowed. Only after speaking with Mr Rangga, we permitted to take part of it. I completely respect that hotels have their own policies, but a little flexibility in situations like this can make guests feel much more valued.
As this stay was to celebrate my birthday, I appreciated the birthday greeting prepared in the room. However, compared to several other hotels where I have celebrated birthdays, which often include a small slice of cake, cookies, or another thoughtful treat, the gesture felt rather minimal.
I would also like to recognize Mr. Rangga, who handled my feedback professionally and with genuine courtesy. He listened carefully, apologized where appropriate, and sincerely tried to find solutions. His professionalism left a positive impression.
One small piece of feedback regarding service etiquette: during breakfast, one of the restaurant staff addressed me as “tante.” While I understand there was no ill intention, I believe addressing guests as Sir or Madam, or using their surname when appropriate, better reflects the service standards expected at an international hotel. I appreciate that Mr. Rangga acknowledged this and confirmed that it is not part of the hotel’s service standard.
Overall, this is a hotel with good facilities and family-friendly amenities. However, what distinguishes an excellent hotel is not only its physical facilities, but also how valued guests feel throughout their stay. With warmer hospitality, greater flexibility, and more attention to the finer details, I believe DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta Cikini has the potential to deliver a much stronger guest experience.

Heartwarming hospitality and inspiring concierge service
I visited Jakarta to see my son and stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta on that occasion. I was very comfortable during my stay and I was able to feel safe thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff.
One of the people I'm particularly grateful for is Helmi, the concierge. Every day, they arranged taxis according to the destination and introduced us to recommended sightseeing spots, restaurants and shopping spots. It was my first time in Jakarta, but I was able to enjoy the city with peace of mind.
Helmi-san can speak Japanese, and of course she is not fluent, but she gave me basic explanations and guidance in Japanese, which was very easy to understand and gave me a sense of security. I was very happy to see how hard they explained things to me in Japanese, even if I didn't understand them, and I was moved by their thoughtfulness.
Every time I walked through the lobby, he greeted me politely, saying "good morning" and "hello" in accordance with Japanese culture, and I felt very familiar with him. Such attention to detail was especially appreciated when travelling abroad, and I felt the high level of hospitality throughout the hotel.
If you get the chance to visit Jakarta, I would love to stay there again. Thank you very much.

I will definitely be back!
I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta for just one night while transiting through the city, but even during such a short visit, the hotel left a wonderful impression.
The hotel was noticeably busy because it was the weekend, with many families and groups enjoying the facilities. Although the public areas, breakfast venue, and pool were quite crowded, the staff managed everything professionally and remained friendly and attentive despite the high occupancy.
I was able to make good use of the hotel's facilities during my stay. The gym is modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a complete workout. After my exercise, I visited the spa, which was an excellent experience. The therapists were professional, the atmosphere was peaceful, and it was exactly what I needed after a long journey. I also spent some time relaxing by the beautiful lagoon-style pool, which is one of the hotel's standout features despite being busy with families over the weekend.
I would especially like to thank Helmi from the Concierge team for his outstanding assistance. Shortly after checking in, I was unable to connect my laptop to the hotel's Wi-Fi. We initially thought it was a network issue, but Helmi patiently helped troubleshoot the problem. He explained that the hotel's Wi-Fi requires users to access a landing page before connecting to the internet, but the antivirus software on my laptop was blocking that page from opening. Because the login page could not appear, my device was unable to complete the connection. Helmi calmly guided me through the necessary steps, helped me temporarily adjust the settings, and within a few minutes I was connected without any problems. His technical knowledge, patience, and professional approach saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Although my stay lasted only one day, the excellent service from every department made it memorable. The staff consistently demonstrated genuine hospitality and a willingness to help, making me feel valued even as a transit guest.
I would happily stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta again, whether for business, transit, or a longer vacation. The excellent facilities, professional staff, and exceptional guest service make it a hotel I can confidently recommend.
