Feeling like at home

I was travelling by myself in Ubud and I had the chance to stay in this beautiful guesthouse for 5 days at the end of November 2019. I really felt like at home, they welcomed me in a really kind way and they were always making sure that everything was fine. My room was really clean and nice and the breakfast was delicious. The guesthouse is located right in the center, few minutes walking from the main attractions of Ubud but in a hidden street that was really quiet. The bed was super confortable and the price really affordable. If I'm coming back to Ubud, I'll surely stay again in this wonderful place!

No sense of hospitality!

Reached there on a hot afternoon and fell in love with the place. At the time of check-in the owner and one guy who was probably his son tried to put us in a room with a fan when we had paid for the room with an air-con. When confronted, this guy tried to ask us for more money and kept on saying that if one person then 170 and if 2 then 300 which was extremely stupid because in the booking that we had made through Agoda it clearly said 2 adults. He finally put us in an air conditioned room but with a bad face (like he doesn't want us there) and also started talking very rudely telling us that if we don't like it then we can leave from here. So even though we liked the place but upon seeing this extremely rude behaviour of his son we decided to leave. Upon leaving he said "f u c k you" to us but his dad came and apologized for his up behaviour later but it was in no way helpful. It's a pity that such a nicely done place has absolutely no sense of hospitality. Anyone going there should go by their rules as they won't care about where you made the booking from or what it says there...if you don't want to adhere by their rules then you're in for some real mistreatment.

Excellent service and beautiful place

I stayed there for some nights. The rooms where clean, they had a hot shower, delicious breakfast and the service was really good. When I arrived they had plastic straws and when we told them that we where hoping that they would change to bamboo straws they did it the day after.
The place is close to the center of Ubud but it doesn't feel like that because it's so calm.
Remember to order som juices, they are really good. If I go back I will absolutely stay at the same place.

Lovely family house

Located in the center, Muka House is a charming guesthouse nestled in a quiet and pleasant space. The garden offers a relaxing view: a fountain and beautiful plants.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is hearty and famous. The banana pancake, a delight.
The family who runs this resort is a little care for you.
The smiles of Rai and Made are sun rays.
A happiness to stay in a house as peaceful and loving.

Great value for money

We stayed here one night. It was excellent value for money. The room was large with excellent facilities. The shower was also hot! A free breakfast in the morning was welcomed. The rooms however have very thin walls, luckily we had quiet neighbours. The mattress could have been better and a water fountain to fill up water bottles would have helped save everyone wasting plastic. It is also a short but easy walk to the main town.
