Nice, private home but could use a proper cleaning
Location:
Great, in the middle of the rice fields. Beautiful surroundings, romantic sunrise over the rice fields. I went jogging between the rice terraces in the morning which was very relaxing. The city centre of Ubud can be reached within 5 min with the scooter.
Accomodation:
Nice spacious room with a large bed and mosquito net. Could use a shelf or bench to put bags/suitcase on instead of having to do it on the ground. Bathroom was a little tight (the toilet bowl gets wet when you shower), but that's very common for Bali. The pool is the obvious highlight of this place and does it justice. It looks beautiful, is very clean and the water temperature is nice.
Food:
The landlady comes every morning and serves the food. She is super nice and the food is very good. It's sometimes a little cold (she doesn't cook it in the villa, she has it fully prepared with her and sets the table) but tasty. There were some misunderstandings, so make sure you ask for "banana pancake" if you want pancakes. In the beginning we asked for "pancakes" and got omelette.
Cleanliness:
The pool was clean, so was the bed, main room. The only thing in real need of a proper scrub down are the bathroom and kitchen. At the wash basin there were some thick layers of already going green limescale deposits. In the kitchen blender there was a little bit of mold.
Service:
Probably the highlight, the whole staff were super friendly and seemed very happy you were there. For any issue (laundry, toilet paper, scooters, shuttle, spa) they were availabe and helped quickly. Putu also organized us a transfer to Nusa Lembingan which was incredibly cheap.
TLDR:
Private villa with pool for little money. Five points for accomodation, location and service, minus one for cleanliness. Would definetly recommend.

unfortunately our villa was rundown
when we unpacked after check in we discovered an insect nest in the wardrobe. this was quickly cleaned up by one off the staff members. unfortunately i didnt take a photo of this. we thought this was solved but 2 evenings later we noticed the insects are back and building new nests. as we left next evening back to vienna it did not come to our mind to move to another place. we arrived back home on 28 april and when unpacking our luggage we discovered it was infested with insects. the same like in the wardrobe. it took us a lot of time, work and chemicals to get our clothes etc clean. some tshirts we simply had to throw away as it was too disgusting. luckily we could clean our backpacks so we can use them again. in general something with this advertisement of nick villa is not ok. the reviews are amazing but this villa is completly rundown. tiles in the pool are broken, rotten sunbeds, disgusting fridge, everything dusty, dirty curtains...i cant belive that for example the guests who wrote the review from april 2018 stayed in the same villa like we. htere are 3 villas rented out. i contacted nick villa via email (with photos) and asked about a way to solve this problem. they only replied i should wash my stuff...thats ridicolous! after i told them this is not a matter of some stuff getting a bit dirty they just did not reply anymore. true balinese hospitality:(. as soon as they got your money they ignore you in case of a complaint. worst experience we ever had on our trips to indonesia thank you for ruining the end of our trip. i involved the booking agent we used but even then they refused a compensation.

Üç kız arkadaşım ile konakladık görevli beyefendi müzik dinliyoruz diye bizi kabaca uyardı bir sonraki gün yine müzik dinlediğimiz için çok ses yapıyormuşuz diye habersizce elektriğimizi kestiler arkadaşlarımdan birinin panik atağı vardınve o an atak geçirdiğini söylememe rağmen uzun bir aradan sonra ışığı açtı “ sessiz olursanız açarım “ diyerek. Bu bizim için çok kabacaydı ayrıca konaklama yerine sadeve akşamları gitmemize rağmen böyle sert bir üslupla konuşuldu. Tekrar aynı yeri tercih edeceğimi sanmıyorum

Rundum zufrieden und glücklich
Die Unterkunft war ein Traum. Wir würden vollkommen unkompliziert vom Flughafen mit einem privaten Auto abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gefahren. Kamen abends relativ spät, sodass die Gastgeber uns noch schnell mit ihren Rollern zum nächsten Restaurant gebracht haben, damit wir noch etwas essen konnten.
Die Unterkunft war sauber, wurde jeden Tag geputzt, sowie der Pool gereinigt. Natürlich hat man ab und an mal auch in der Unterkunft ein Insekt gesehen, aber das ist nun mal nicht Europa und außerdem gibt es für das riesige Bett ein Moskito Netz.
Wir haben jeden Morgen zum gewünschten Zeitpunkt unser Frühstück bekommen. Die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit,hat Roller vermietet und Transfers für uns organisiert. Also rundum gelungen und durch den Privaten Pool, wo auch keiner reingucken kann einfach nur toll. Jederzeit wieder!
