Perfect home stay in Ubud!
I write in English to make sure everyone can read the review.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Umah Dajane for 1 month and our experience was wonderful. The room is in a family home, so we were able to have a lot of contact with the Balinese lifestyle, see them making their daily offerings. The hosts were extremely helpful, friendly and did everything to make us feel at home. We developed a huge affection for them. Wayan and Niwayan are very special. They cooked typical foods for us, organized transfers and even arranged for my boyfriend to teach English to the children in the village. The room is excellent, spacious, with storage for clothes and a table to work on. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked very well. Bathroom had a shower with hot water. We stayed in a room overlooking the garden and it was really nice to wake up and look at so many plants. During our stay we used the shared kitchen and fridge several times. The space is close to markets and with a 20-minute walk you can reach the main center of Ubud with many shops and restaurants. The airbnb street is very beautiful and familiar. Breakfast was delicious, the banana pancakes are irresistible. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back on our next trip to Bali. If you are looking for a space to feel at home in Ubud, with kind people and direct contact with Balinese culture, Umah Dajane is the place!

Lovely stay!
We have had a great time staying at Umah Dejane Guest House. The hosting family are just lovely and will do their very best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. There is a good selection of options for breakfast (we tried a couple of different ones and all were very tasty!)
The location is very central. The host is happy to help if you are interested in renting a bike. There are also a selection of activities/transport available at the Guest House if you are interested.
Overall, a great stay! Lovely large, clean and quiet rooms. I would definitely recommend to stay here to anyone.

A truly special experience
Our stay at Umah Dajane was the highlight of our recent 3 week stay in Bali - and indeed, one of the highlights of our many trips in SE Asia.
Umah Dajane is a 30 minute walk out of the centre of Ubud, but we found that to be an advantage. We were last in Ubud 21 years ago, when it was a lovely tranquil little place with little traffic. But that was pre-'Eat, Pray, Love'. Today the traffic is horrendous, particularly motorbikes. Umah Dajane, by contrast, is in a traditional area, and the traffic is limited by the local community. It's a quiet, beautiful little oasis away from the noise and fumes of Ubud. It's as if you're staying in a traditional village in the middle of nowhere, and yet, you're only 5-10 minutes drive from Ubud centre. There are even paddy fields owned by the local community 3 minutes walk away.
Although Umah Dajane is a homestay, guest rooms are separate, with porches to sit on and sip the excellent Bali coffee hosts Wayan and Siri are happy to brew for you on request. So, you have your privacy, as well as being in a traditional homestay situation. Our room was delightful. Designed by Wayan and Siri's son Made, it was a really pleasant place to stay, air-conditioned, with a comfortable queen-sized bed, and a nice shower (hot water, good showerhead). The room is serviced daily.
The best aspect to Umah Dajane, though, is Wayan and Siri themselves. They couldn't do enough for us. Hosts just don't get any better.
A real treat is Siri's breakfasts. The usual egg choices are there, but why would you go for them when you can have traditional Balinese breakfasts like lak-lak, black rice pudding and banana pancakes with palm sugar syrup? Especially when Siri does them so well? It doesn't get more authentic than this! A lovely start to the day, topped off with fresh Bali coffee!
Wayan and Siri were always ready to talk to us about Balinese cultural, religious and everyday life. Wayan took us for a walk to the family paddy field late one afternoon. We've seen many paddy fields in our travels in SE Asia, but this is the first time we have gone for a walk through one. Terrif.
We spent 5 days with Wayan and Siri, and were sorry to leave. If we return to Ubud in the future, we won't even be considering staying anywhere else. Outstanding value, special experience.

The best home stay in Ubud!
I stayed for 10 nights and it was truly amazing. My standards are high since I have stayed at the best hotels in the world. This home stay has much higher standards than it looks.
Beautiful and clean place. Rooms are spotless every day, new bedsheets every day! The breakfast is yummy, they give options to choose from. Must try traditional breakfast. They have an amazing little dog that will be the best guard and make you feel safe. If you give some treats to the dog he will become your best friend. (Make sure to get some treats to rest of the dogs locally).
Great location since the street is clean and quiet compared to the rest Ubud. Close to center and Yoga barn. Easy to get a transport from there.

Bit out of town but you want to stay here
What an awesome place! The room is bright, cool and clean. Lowis and his wife are really friendly and helpful. They make really good banana pancakes, one of the best we had in Bali. Would have loved to stay there more than the two nights we did. Lowis also offers transfers for a good price. Location is a bit out of the busy center but walking distance.
