Gym In Balance Novotel Semarang

The gym is comfortable, clean, the equipment is complete, the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool's view is beautiful.

My worst experience at a Novotel

This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is a complete run-down building in terrible condition.My stay started with a broken bathroom faucet. Someone came to repair it, but when I gently opened it later, it snapped off completely. A second technician claimed it was fixed, but it was just as useless as before. To make matters worse, the room was filthy: the towels had brown stains, and there were actual bloodstains on my bedsheets!Due to all these severe issues, I was upgraded to another room. However, during the chaotic room switch, I accidentally left two expensive designer polo shirts in the bathroom of my first room. I am 100% certain they were left there, but the staff flat out claims 'nothing was found'. This feels like theft disguised as a loss.The food quality is extremely poor and unhygienic. During breakfast, I asked a staff member for a spoon for my coffee. She literally picked up a spoon and placed it directly onto her dirty serving tray to hand it to me, without any napkin or saucer underneath. On top of that, the jacuzzi did not work, and the bathtub was disgusting.The staff speaks very poor English, making communication almost impossible. And you call yourself Novotel. Do not stay here. It is an unhygienic, poorly managed construction site. 1/10.
