Great location and rooms

Highly recommended Recommendation for visitors to Erbil. I strongly recommend this hotel for Iraq visitors. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked super. The hotel is clean and the breakfast was good. The location was beautiful and central. The staff were polite. Hotel staff was kind and helpful, rooms were clean and breakfast was well enough, the location was perfect to travel landmarks of Erbil.

Not too bad!

Good enough for one night, nothing special (except for the breakfast!). The bed sheets were dirty with some hair left behind; we asked for a new room and got it quite quickly. Nice location, not far from the Citadel.

Disappointing, not worth 4 stars

They gave us a tiny, claustrophobic room with a small window facing directly onto an air conditioning unit, essentially there was no window at all. I understand it was an "economy" room, but this was an extreme interpretation of what that should mean. Had I known in advance, I wouldn’t have taken that room even for free.
For two out of the three days of our stay, there was no hot water in the shower. We reported the issue to reception, but it was downplayed and no solution was provided.
To make matters worse, on the last day, some of our personal belongings disappeared from the bathroom. It wasn’t theft, as more valuable items in the room were untouched. The cleaning staff had simply thrown away things that clearly shouldn’t have been discarded—out of negligence and carelessness.
Lastly, the breakfast was disappointing, with a very limited selection.
On a positive note, some members of the staff were very kind and helpful, especially Zedan and the staff member who was often at the bar, whose name I unfortunately don’t remember. The hotel’s location is also very convenient.

MyHoyel Erbil

The staff were wonderful and very welcoming. We arrived (and left) in the middle of the night due to very early flight arrivals and departures but there were no issues at check in and check out. The location is great - a ten minute walk or so to the Citadel area plus there are plenty of cafe's and restaurants nearby. We were there for three days and the only slight drawback was that our room was a bit on the small side plus on occasion there was noise from the corridor. Apart from that, yes I'd quite happily stay again.
