Relaxing couples stay, great food and spa

We had a fabulous, relaxing one night break at the Ice House. The views from the bedroom and the hotel generally are stunning. Seaweed bath was a very relaxing start to our stay. Rooms so comfortable & had an amazing sleep. Gin cocktails were amazing as was the Guinness! Dinner was delicious & Seafood linguine stood out. Lovely casual dining & great quality food. The staff were super friendly, so helpful, especially Enda the bar man. Will definitely come back to the Ice House.

Amazing stay!

Just back from having a one night stay with Spa and Dinner in the Ice House.
The shining star of the experience was the restaurant, food was brilliant and staff were amazing and Alex who was our server on the evening really stood out. He created a luxury experience. His passion and interest in his guests was evident to everyone he dealt with and he should be commended for his amazing service.
There were a few things that we felt need to be worked on, front office (other than the American lady who checked us out and the receptionsist who checked us in) were not the friendliest and the Spa Receptionist did not even show us to the Changing Rooms, when I asked where to put our items she pointed at some hangers and said "somewhere there".
That being said, the location, food, room and restaurant staff made it such a magical experience that we plan to come back every year.
This is a true gem in Mayo.

Couples retreat

We attended last weekend for a night, following a wedding for a night to relax. They accommodated an early check in,we had lunch by the river. Then relaxed in our lovely room. The food is gorgeous, we had breakfast, lunch & dinner in a fabulous setting. My wife lost an earbud & emailed the hotel who have located it & are posting it back. Level of service was great& highly recommend for a relaxing time.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel in stunning location. Rooms were fabulous overlooking the river. Great food in restaurant, with breakfast cooked to order. 2 nice pubs close by also. Great place to unwind.

Chilled out

Lovely stay. Overall facilities were excellent. But the very very loud hissing in the steam room was uncomfortable. Used the steam room once and never again.
Beautiful location overlooking the water and nature.
Ate one night in the Bar area. Everything else was good but for the food. Looked and tasted like frozen fish and chips. The curry looked fab but tasted so bland. Decided not to eat in the actual restaurant for the following night. Went out local.
Very quiet atmosphere in the evenings.
We did enjoy our time there. The staff were so nice.
