Local bar
A real local bar with the tv showing sports and a few lads going in and out of the bookies
Toilets were clean but you could get a strong smell of cigarette smoke .
Food could be got in the restaurant but I did not avail of it ..

Terrible place to sleep.
I was on a short business trip to Clare, the welcome was all a bit embarrassing as you have to go in the bar and ask the barman in front of all the local drinkers and ask you have a reservation. A voice shouts your name from the back of the bar and the manager shows you to your room to a jeering barman and customers. I booked because it was a bar and restaurant and older reviews mention about food. I asked about food and was told no food go next door. I had dinner next door which was amazing and a couple of beers. I retired at 10pm as I was to be up at 6am for work.
THIS IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS
I was awoken at 12.30am by someone hammering directly underneath my bed and pulling cables,then the drilling started followed by more hammering. I text the owner about the noise and I heard him go downstairs talk with the person then giggles. I got a text back saying " sorry but next door are doing renovations and I just phoned them". It went quiet for 10 mins then hammering started again. I got my phone and recorded the noise and texted my wife. I got another text from the owner not intended for me saying "remember I told him it was next door making the noise". What's the saying "shot yourself in the foot". This went on until1.30-2am.
Bottling up time started and people going out for a fag added to the noise as well as the back ground music. You can hear everything that goes on downstairs.
Then the power went off for about 1/2 hour whilst work continued and I had to use my phone to see around the room ( but next door are doing renovations) must also be on the same electricity meter.
The room is cold no tv or kettle and no door handle on the bathroom door,finger nails on the carpet and of course the non insulated bedroom itself.
This was my first stay in Clare and this will be the last time I stop here as I will be in Clare on business every month.
I will go and give Trump my business or go to a more suitable B&B. At €60 a night I have stayed in far,far better places for €30-€40 a night with a kettle a TVs
Absolutely disgraceful the way in which you went about telling me rubbish just to shut me up,well I hope this review shuts you up. I had to be up at 6am for work and by the time all the noise had stopped I had 3 1/2 hrs sleep. I have also issued a complaint to the booking company who I booked through and have threatened to withdraw my account with them should I not receive a refund for the poor service I was subjected to.

Room is ok, but we had some disappointments
The location from the cliffs of moher is ok, but you can definitely find closer.
It is ok for a short journey.
