Not in the center of Cork

Comfortable hotel, a little away from the center of Cork, good breakfast, very good dinner. A little small room, good shower and hot water.

Looks good on line but go elsewhere.

Not impressed, disappointed really.
Due to the hotel design rooms facing inwards have no windows openings, our room was too hot, the ventilation totally inadequate, booked two nights sleeping was impossible.
The duvet inner was at least 13.5 tog with no top sheet in sight.
I removed the heavy inner in order to use the duvet cover as a sheet, to my horror the duvet was disgustingly dirty, stained plus plus.
The en-suite walls also dirty, grime and black mould, not good enough Clayton Hotel, you should be ashamed of yourself.
The carpet also stained, with one noticeable mark on the wall.
The downstairs toilets faired no better, dirt on the floor, the basin in the disabled toilet was at an angle, my bag fell off the hook which was barely hanging on.

No I do not recommend this hotel or the restaurant, book a Back Packers I can assure you it will be a lot cleaner.

Well located hotel with a pool sauna and steam room. Check in and out are automated which is efficient if impersonal. Breakfast choice and quality are decent.

Family ezperience

I have to say this hotel is very central and close to main street.The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and breakfast was amazing.The only thing was having to pay for parking its 12 euros a day a discounted rate from hotel.We ate in the bar and food was lovely.Went to the pool and it was great it was all one level no deep end. Would recommend this hotel for families.

Have to say it was poor walls need painting but paid 30 euro for breakfast was there at 10 no eggs no bread no milk never again
