City hotel right by the river.
As a customer of the Leonardo group, I consciously reserved here.
Very nice lady at the reception who helped us well so that we could park cheaply in the parking garage. €12
The location is somewhat inconvenient when arriving by car.
We have booked a Superior Twinbed room. That was okay, rather small, and here too the toilet brush was missing. We would have preferred a shower instead of a bathtub with a rain shower. Really very cumbersome, and the temperature control was not okay. Either very hot or very cold.
The breakfast buffet was okay but not impressive.

GREAT CITY CENTRE HOTEL !
Leonardo Hotel is very central in Cork city and close to the bus station. The staff are very helpful and friendly , I have stayed there a few times and always enjoy returning. The breakfast is very good, with a great selection to suit every taste. Bedrooms have tea/coffee selection. My room had a fan which was really appreciated.!(without asking for one, so bonus points :) )

This facility has no A/C
No A/C!!! The sink and tub do not drain. The pillows are hard/solid.
Beds ok

Decent hotel, friendly staff but price and area let it down.
Clean room with the facilities you would expect and friendly staff. Decent breakfast.
However the area the hotel is in, is not a place I would be comfortable walking back to late at night. Both the hotel car park and the adjacent underground car park had folks hanging around making visitors feel unsafe. The hotel, helpfully, employs a bouncer at the front door in the evenings and that probably says it all.
The hotel would get a higher rating for room, staff and breakfast alone but the price/ value and the area knocked down the rating for me.

Just ok
Staff were fantastic and very friendly especially in reception. However, we felt the hotel itself was fairly basic. We paid extra for a superior room but our room didn't look like what we thought we booked and when we queried it we were told that we got water and biscuits which made the room superior.
Breakfast was nice but nothing spectacular. The only fruit was cut oranges and melon. Some of my husband's hot breakfast was cold. A lovely location and lovely staff but we wouldn't be rushing back.
