Fantastic stay
Fabulous stay with family. Lovely rooms with everything you need. We had a beautiful room which backed on the the river lee with a lovely seating area outside. Breakfast was fantastic and Karen was very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect, close to the airport and 10 minute walk into cork city center. Will deffinatly be back.

Dingy horrible place not want it looks like on website
Not much, really.. smelt and look like a bedsit I had when I was in college back in the 90,s. Had booked this in Jan to go to a concert close by.. Looks nothing like pics on the website. We were put into an attic room. Radiator paint crusty and falling off. Carpet thread bare. The bathroom floor was seriously slippy, but if you did fall, it would be OK cos it was so tiny you wouldn't even hit the ground. Light bulbs are missing. All the furniture was leaning to the right becos the floors were all slanted. Becos, it was an attic you had the ceiling slanted in, and having 2 adults in that one room was a joke. we had to literally climb over each other or crawl around the bed. Keys were just basta keys like you would have in your own bedroom at home. Definitely didn't feel safe. When guests next door were going in and out of their room, it was like they were coming into ours. Oh, and the conditions are their welcome pack. I have stayed in a good few hotels, but I have never seen where they warn their guests about a fine for wetting the bed or vomiting in the room!!

During our stay, the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff stood out – a real plus. However, the room itself was a setback. For the price we paid, we expected more comfort.
• The room was exceptionally small: we could hardly get rid of our suitcases without tripping over them.
• The bathroom and toilet together were only about 2m2, which made the use uncomfortable.
• In addition, throughout the building it smelled like breakfast prepared in the morning – not disturbing, but it did stand out.
In summary: clean and welcoming, but the Price quality ratio is not balanced. We would not book here again soon.

Lovely place
Lovely guesthouse close to city centre, and all local amenities. Impeccably clean with very friendly staff. Will return and recommend to family and friends.

Favorite place to stay when l visit Cork
If they have availability, I always stay here when I come to Cork.
Really solid place to stay, especially if you’re planning on being here for multiple days. It’s right next to the university and right on the river. It’s an old Irish building, so expect the kind of character that comes from that (lots of stairs, funky shaped rooms, etc). The rooms are quite variable, but all the ones I've been in have been clean and exactly what I needed. If you have any needs, questions, or requests, they're always very communicative, so just call.
Their breakfast room is BEAUTIFUL and they let us use it during the day when we needed a place to work from. Between the location and the service, it's pretty decent value, especially given the prices in Cork. All in all, this is still my favorite place to stay in Cork and I can't recommend it enough.
