Beautiful area
I stay in this hotel once a year for work. It’s a beautiful hotel, the grounds are stunning, the breakfast is delicious and there’s plenty of choice. I ate out for dinner this time in Padraicin’s up the road as the weather was beautiful and it’s right on the beach.
When I checked into my room, there was a jumper in the wardrobe that had been left there from the previous guest. I was only staying for one night so I left it there and did inform staff when checking out.
I would love to come and stay for longer and make more use of the facilities but unfortunately for work it’s only ever a one night stay.

Wonderful Hotel.
Lovely two days in this excellent 4Star hotel. We stayed in a recently renovated room overlooking Galway Bay and the view was stunning. Excellent staff looked after us and we would like to show appreciation to Enya on the front desk and to Sujeesh, the hardest working staff member in the breakfast room. We ate two nights in the main restaurant and had no complaints, staff and food were excellent as was our experience for breakfast. This is a well run hotel, in a fabulous location, great food & staff so no wonder it was buzzing and full of happy holiday makers. We were sorry to be moving on but will certainly return. Lovely location
Appearance of hotel is nice and in a lovely location overlooking the sea. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd, there is no lift to level one so you have to walk down 3 flights of steps with a suitcase. I saw other families struggling too. What lets the hotel down is the filthy carpets. From level 1 it really is disgusting, I can't comprehend how it's got to this stage? Through the walkway conservatory the walls, windows & ceiling need a good clean too. We were woken by the refuse lorry in the morning, a lot of racket outside our window. The room was nice & the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was lovely the next morning, and the breakfast staff were very nice. Lovely setting and nice walk around the back.

Relaxing break while visiting Galway County.

Dissapointing
My family and friends chose this hotel because of my recommendation, as I thought it would be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing.
When we arrived, everything seemed fine. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. However, when we entered our room, we noticed that although it looked decent at first, the carpet was dirty, especially around the corners and beside the bedside table.
The bathroom was fine, but we discovered the next morning why it had such a bad smell—the exhaust fan was not working. I reported this to the front desk, and I hope it has since been fixed.
What I noticed the most was that the staff were not very hospitable. Having worked in a five-star hotel as a hotel ambassador, I understand that providing excellent guest service is essential. Hotel staff should make guests feel welcome, but unfortunately, many of the staff didn’t even smile.
What disappointed me the most was that a housekeeping staff member entered our room without knocking. She simply opened the door while we were changing, even though we still had 15 minutes before the 12:00 noon check-out time. Housekeeping should always knock first or confirm with the front desk before entering an occupied room. This was a serious invasion of our privacy and made us feel very uncomfortable.
I hope the hotel improves its cleanliness, staff hospitality, and housekeeping procedures to provide a better experience for future guests
