Beautiful country setting and we wished we had another day. We were there on a weekday and the dinner menu served from 6-8 is quite limited, but was sufficient if you’re wanting a small bite. The room was lively and the staff responsive.

Upgrades needed

While the meal was good, but overpriced, the room left a lot to be desired. Window open, and it couldn’t close. Very cold and damp. The owner went to turn on the heat while we had dinner, but too little too late. Then the room was incredibly hot. The bathroom had no ventilation. The shower leaked along the floor. Obvious mould on the bathroom floor and on the wall.
The bed was horribly lumpy, with springs felt beneath. Pillows were ridiculously flat.
The owners are looking to sell, and it seems they have given up with maintaining the place.
The hostess was very nice, and the dinner waiting rooms were attractive. The building looks nice from the outside.

Exceptional

Beautiful place, fabulous Rooms, clean, the house is full of character & good location with Shannon town nearby, beautiful scenery.
Superb food, Gillian and Niall are great and so accommodating. Would recommend to go here.
Great value for top class food and service.

Charming historic house with excellent food

Carrygerry Country House is an elegant and peaceful place to stay, set in a beautiful 18th-century building near Newmarket on Fergus. The house is exceptionally well-maintained.The rooms are spacious and decorated in a classic style that complements the history of the buildingIts location is very convenient for those traveling to or from Shannon Airport, yet it remains quiet and tucked away from any noise.There is plenty of secure parking available.
