Excellent hotel!
I've stayed in this hotel before and really it is hard to fault expect for one small thing. Location is perfect with a car park out the back. Staff are so friendly and helpful which I found was the case before. Room was perfect and even had aircon which was a godsend given the very hot weather. The only fault I had with the room was I felt the duvet cover was old, worn and well used. Think they could be replaced.
The breakfast is second to none. There is a very comprehensive hot breakfast menu but really no matter what you ordered it was no trouble to the staff.
I would be very happy to stay here again and would recommend it to people who want accommodation outside the city of Cork as it is only about 40 mins from the city.

A Very Good Experience
I recently stayed for 3 nights in the Castle Hotel, Macroom, Co.Cork ,..I had a really pleasant stay there...from the minute I entered the hotel, everything was perfect. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly,...food in the restaurant and café was excellent, again service in both super,..my room was very good and I had requested being near the lift so all suited well..I have to say I loved the swimming pool as well,as I had lost a bit of confidence to get into a pool and it all worked out very well...Staff were very friendly in the leisure centre were very encouraging.Its a lovely pool and very easy to get about there safely,..I feel more confident now to get into pools in my home town. So all in all I had a very good experience staying in the Castle Hotel...didn't mention everywhere was spotlessly clean...I've stayed there before and love that hotel and perfect location in lovely Macroom.I will look forward to staying there again, and very happy to confidently recommend to friends who might be heading to /or passing trough Macroom.

Vegan Food
The hotel is amazing and very clean and the staff is really polite.However there are not many options for people who are vegan. The menu is very limited/non-existing and the hotel needs to catch up with other hotels of same standard.

Home away from home
Just returned home after a fabulous 5 nights in Castle Hotel, my 15th visit. We book the hotel for the Irish Rowing Championships every summer and come as a very large group of rowers, parents and siblings. Kay McCarthy has been looking after us all this time and simply cannot do enough for us.
The staff are all so welcoming and obliging, the food is always fantastic from breakfast to dinner. The pancakes are divine and the takeaway breakfast baps on the mornings that we had to leave early were delicious.
Thanks to Kay, Dan and Rory along with all the staff for another amazing stay, we will be back in 2027.

The greatest hotel welcome ever and full credit is due to Kaye and the crew!
The staff in this hotel are truly a cut above the rest! As a family we have travelled extensively and have experienced some amazing hotels but the staff in Castle Hotel Macroom make this hotel one of the very best - the courtesy, kindness, patience and attention to every detail make them a stand out crew! This time we stayed to attend Irish Rowing Championships and this hotel did not disappoint. A fabulous hotel, a beautiful town and convenient to travel to the National Rowing Centre and to the surrounding attractions (Linsale is a must!)
Every time I stay at this hotel with our Rowing athletes I am overwhelmed by the welcome- Kaye, and the entire staff crew behind the scenes, go above and beyond for our Rowers from making sure that there is boundless good supplies (including preparing food from 5.30am for the early starters) through to having aircon set for us all each day - an absolute Godsend at night! I have stopped off here for twelve years straight and look forward to many
