My best friend Ashley and I traveled to Iceland for her birthday, and let me tell you, we had so much fun. Ana, one of the receptionists, is one of the nicest people we encountered. She is very friendly and helpful many times. One might say we ended up with a new friend! The rooms are clean, and if you want a room to just rest your head and then go on an adventure, this is it! The beds are comfortable, the bedding is soft, and there are blackout curtains; they don't totally block out the sun, but that's fine, it's enough for me. The breakfast is decent, there is yogurt and hard-boiled eggs, coffee, Crepes with a variety of jams, bread for toast, or sandwiches, and there is also a beautiful layout of different meats and cheeses. If you're looking for a warm breakfast with variety, there is a little cafe two doors down. The location itself is about 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavik, 10 minutes from the airport, and there are parks EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the other people staying here were rude to the 3 STAFF MEMBERS, YES, ONLY 3 WORKING HERE. It was really unnecessary because with only 3 employees in total working here, the rooms are clean, there is breakfast every morning, and the entire facility is run efficiently for only having 3 employees. These women deserve massive raises because they work 7 days a week with very little credit. For the hotel being right next to the road, you'll hear car noise, but whatever, it's no biggie for me. With a park across the street, you'll hear kids playing. It made me feel more at home and miss my kids less. For the most part, the rooms are quiet, the walls are thin, so you can hear whenever someone flushes the toilet upstairs because the water pipe was right next to our room, but again, for me, it's whatever. I feel like the entirety of this facility is overall wonderful, and I would stay here again. This is not a 5-star luxury hotel; it's run by 3 hard-working women who really give it their all to make your stay as comfortable as they can, so please be nice to the staff.

Spartan, convenient for KEF airport
Large and clean room, close to the international airport, comfortable and clean bathroom, powerful Wi-Fi.
Room on the first floor without an elevator, no breakfast (Booking listed it as included in the rate), services kept to a minimum.

Hotel was not ready, no 3* at all
The hotel has only reopened after a long closure and it should not receive guests yet as the rooms are not ready. The smell of paint was still there. There is missing furniture, a hairdryer, glasses or cups in the bathroom, fancy hotel towels instead of tiny ikea wipes and hotel bedding (also ikea). In itself no problem with but could still be washed beforehand. Also no restaurant as described. Too bad because the lady at the reception is very friendly and apologized for the situation. We did get a nice breakfast package for our early flight. So the photos do not match reality at all. It's too bad.

Clean and everything wad as promised. Service was great. Reception is 24/7 around. Open for any support.
