Very satisfactory
We stayed in 4 for a short family holiday. Well equipped trullo is equipped with all services.
Very nice bedroom on mezzanine.
Central location and convenient parking in the city center! Ideal for a short family stay as it allows you to comfortably visit the whole area of the Trulli of Rione Monti.

LEAVE ALL HOPE O YOU WHO ENTER!!!!!!!!...in this "Ottavio's" Trullo
Dear all,
I recommend Alberobello and Matera because they are truly special places, but.....as for the I TRULLI DI OTTAVIO structure, I want to share my CHILLING experience with you.
It took me a long time to digest this writing, I don't like ruining other people's work, but the behavior of these people and above all the unlikely conditions in which they allowed themselves to give me a "room" are to be condemned and highlighted so that others do not fall into the same indecent situation that we experienced in the first days of January 2024.
In the attachment you will see some photos that will be more than explanatory of the unseemly condition of the room they gave us; obviously we could have been unlucky and the rest of their apartments could have been wonderful but I leave it to each of you by analyzing the photos to decide with your own head.....
The place is comfortable, adjacent to the car park (in the center of the Trulli) which, although it is written on various sites as being free, we were made to pay by virtue of a discount given to us for the stay, of one night at 110 euros instead of 120 but with the addition of the 6 euro parking fee which, as read in other posts, is usually charged, even though, as the owner told us, it is their property and, I might add, brings in quite a bit of money.....but this would be least of all because the owners didn't really get upset when I complained, nor did they retrace their steps in the slightest with a discount given the situation of the room, but let's get to us...
Our stay dates back to January 4, 2024....
The room itself is nice even if very small and cold especially because it is humid and because the air conditioner present (very noisy) is probably insufficient to heat it properly due to the humidity....
The sheets are grandma's but with holes and the lace edge of the pillowcase torn in several places as you can see in the detail of a photo.
The Chinese bedspread, not perhaps a nice washed, sanitized and scented duvet and thank goodness we come from Covid because for these people not even that was enough... to make them use professional laundries that guarantee sanitation... full of stains which seem organic and make you feel sick...
The military service blankets perhaps recovered during the military service and still there after a good forty years.
The dirty sink and it's hard to understand what kind of melted sugar and the refrigerator with mould, hair and tomato oil, one would say, in addition to encrustations also on the sink, a clear sign that these people either don't know what cleanliness is or they make use of poorly paid and poorly trusted but above all uncontrolled staff... even if given the indifference to my complaints, as mentioned previously, I think that they are the ones who take care of it to save as much as possible.
The bathroom is very small without heating or a heated towel rail that somehow allows you to dry the already damp bedroom linen or heat the freezing room and even worse it only has a ridiculous water heater that would barely be enough to give a baptism to a baby.....at least this was the only place where the cleaning had been done.
Certainly the very limited spaces, the missing supports and the terrible hygienic conditions of the bed, the fridge and the sink make it the worst accommodation I have ever encountered in my life and I can assure you that both for work and for pleasure I have traveled quite a bit .
We were in Conero, Trentino, Elba, Tremiti, Sardinia, Sicily, Puglia, and Basilicata, as if on purpose the day before.
In Matera we stayed in a truly enchanting B&B (I won't say the name to avoid comparisons or strange ideas) where on the contrary they provided us with one of their typical apartments equipped with a kitchen entrance with: dining table and sofa bed, a delightful bathroom and heated, a spacious bedroom with furniture and table and a mezzanine with additional beds; all a stone's throw from the Sassi, amazingly clean and just think that the lady goes to the other side of the city to get you breakfast with a huge delicious croissant, milk and coffee as well as making you find fruit, yogurt, juices and chocolates available for free.
Among other things, with fenced parking on site and at the modest price of 80 euros.
Frankly an abyss.
We could say, PARADISE despite the HELL I just told you about.

Nights in the Trullo
Zia Rosa's Trullo is very nice, right in the center, near the paid parking area in the center. But also with some critical issues: double bed with spring mattress, very high access stairs without handholds, very small bathroom, feeling of humidity inside! But it's okay! Courteous owners, but no invoice for the stay. Good suggestions for dinner and breakfast, if you don't want to do it in the Trullo equipped with a small kitchenette. A few coffee pods, no spare toilet paper (3 of us stayed for 4 nights) and no tablecloth for eating.

I stayed in a Trulli
The place is in an excellent area to walk in town and to go to other towns. The owners are very welcoming and that make the stay memorable.
The place is very small for 4 adults. Will be OK for a couple days but not for a week. The specific building we stay can be updated, the kitchen have pots and dishes but they see better days. The same goes for towels. We had breakfast every morning and make do with what they had. It has a very small refrigerator, stove and sink. Did not have WiFi which it was an inconvenience but it had air condition and parking included.
It is close to a supermarket, just before you get to the old area. It has some restaurants and many little stores. Be aware not to buy at the first ones, they are the most expensive ones.

Bella esperienza
Abbiamo soggiornato in questo trullo(denominato zia Rosa) la settimana scorsa, trullo piccolo ma molto bello situato al centro del paese, proprietario gentile e cortese, parcheggio auto compreso nel prezzo, posto stupendo.
