Hotel with 5-star Service.
Small hotel in the heart of the Emerald Coast with breakfast terrace overlooking the bay of Cala di Volpe offering breathtaking views. Staff always friendly and smiling and impeccable Service. Yeah. See u next summer.

Unpleasant stay
We stayed at Hotel Valdiola in Porto Cervo: good location, decent breakfast, but the experience was ruined by an episode that says a lot about the level of the structure. On the last day, preparing two sandwiches for our little girl, we were reprimanded in front of everyone by the waiter Samuele, who from kind turned into an example of rudeness and zero tact. Worse still the lady at reception (black curly bob hair): haughty, conceited, uneducated, she even spoke of “food theft”, charging us 20 € of supplement without giving us anything more. Surreal.
Luckily there are Vittorio and Renato: two real professionals, kind and always available, who know what it means Tourist Welcoming. They save the face of the hotel, but unfortunately they cannot compensate for the rudeness of those who instead ruin the image of the structure.
Tip for future travelers: if you are looking for a place to feel welcomed with a smile and empathy, do not rely on chance: here you risk finding yourself treated as “guilty” just for a sandwich. Too bad, because it would take little to turn a normal stay into a special one.

Living room
We were guests of the Hotel Valdiola (Abbiadori, near Porto Cervo) and, if initially the impression had been positive – friendly staff and good breakfast – unfortunately on the last day of the stay everything was ruined by an unpleasant episode that left us with a very bitter memory.
We were preparing two small sandwiches for our little girl (for breakfast), nothing excessive, when the waiter Samuele – a person who until then had seemed kind – publicly rebuked us with ungentle tones, accusing us of impropriety. I don't want to justify myself, but a minimum of tact and sensitivity would have been enough, especially towards a family with a little girl and considering that it was the day of departure, to avoid such embarrassment in front of the other guests.
What made the situation worse was the behaviour of the lady at reception (black curly bob hair), who with a haughty and uneducated attitude, even spoke of “food theft”, charging us a supplement of € 20 without having brought us anything extra, when in fact the sandwiches had been immediately left on the table. Not a smile, not a kind word: just conceit and rudeness.
A huge shame: a stay that could have ended on a positive note was instead marked by a rigid and lacking empathy attitude, which made us perceive a total lack of attention to the guest. This behavior, especially in a tourist resort where Welcoming should be the priority, drastically lowers the level of the structure.
I'm sorry, but the overall review can only be negative: if the owner decides to leave people rude and lacking in empathy in contact with customers, inevitably the level of the structure drops dramatically. A shame, because it would be enough to enhance those who do this work with passion to turn a normal stay into an unforgettable stay.
And this is what ruins the image of a structure: not the rooms, not the location, but the wrong people in the wrong place.
Then, to be honest, it must be said: two splendid exceptions were Vittorio and Renato, professional, helpful and with a rare kindness. People who know what it means to work in tourism: always ready to give explanations, always with a smile, always with the desire to make the guest feel good. They are the real wealth of this hotel, a number one for Welcoming and courtesy, the example of how you should treat the customer.

Every cloud has a silver lining!!
Our Easyjet flight was cancelled along with 15 other flights after a wildfire near Olbia airport. There was a desperate rush for thousands of passengers to find accommodation. Luckily we were able to get a flight next day so just needed 1 night, others not so lucky booking flights home so needed 3 nights.
We found this hotel on booking.com, there were not a lot left by the time we booked. We stood in taxi queue for over 2 hours, worrying we would get to hotel after midnight when reception would closed. I sent email explaining our predicament and no worries.
We arrived after midnight, tired and stressed and were greeted by Renato. A huge smile on his face with a friendly helpful manner, he soon put us at ease. We soon realised we had stumbled on a little gem. Our room was pristine, white walls and crisp white bedlinen with water in the fridge, all we needed feel safe and sleep. Imagine our delight when we woke in the morning to the most stunning views of the coastline.
The lovely lady receptionist in the morning was just as wonderful, check out was 11am but we could laze by pool all day and they would organise a 17.30 taxi pick up to return to airport.
Breakfast on the verandah was perfect and we also had a light lunch which was also good.
Also have to mention Samuelle who looked after us like royalty during the day. Drinks and nibbles by the pool and lots of knowledge about the hotel.
We may of stumbled on this charming family run hotel but we will definitely be back as it stole our hearts. Grazie mille.

Fantastic place
Exceptional place both for The sea view and for the quality of services, maniacal cleaning and attention to the needs of customers, a special applause at the Reception where Giovanna and Daniela go beyond their duties and are really always super helpful.
