Our room was at the side of the hotel with a garden in front. It was quiet and beautiful. A very pleasant stay.

The front desk staff were friendly and answered all my questions and followed up on the 2 requests we had. The dining room staff were nice and on top of the buffet. The views were amazing the room had tons of space for the 4 of us, the balcony was great as was the bathroom. Only wish was to be able to lower the air conditioning a bit more but that's a cultural thing for us. A minor issue it was pretty comfortable in the room most times. We would definitely book here again no questions.
The town was nice, several options for eating in or nearby, it was a relaxing atmosphere there, exactly what we hoped for.

Beautiful holiday on the wine route

Hotel Tyrol is a cosy 3-star hotel located in the centre of Ora. Its location makes it ideal for visiting attractions such as Lake Caldaro and the nearby Dolomites, as well as a starting point for excursions to Bolzano, Bressanone or Vipiteno. The room we chose was elegantly furnished and enjoyed views of the mountain ranges.
Particularly appreciated are the books made available to guests
The hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheeses and a variety of breads. Probably need to improve the candy department. Strudel or some regional dessert or that refers to the territory would be a little more characterful.
The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable as well as the information/advice provided by the staff.

We were charged the Tourist fee for 2 Kids (6 and 3 years old) despite we asked explicitly if that is correct. Expedia confirmation E-Mail says we should pay only for the adults (this was also our experience during further travelling in the area). Since the workers at Reception refused to give us any Receipt and forced us to pay cash, this looks as a scam to me and leaves extremely unpleasant impression. Though kids really loved the small garden with playground, rabbits and the turtle, I doubt we will come there again.
