Excellent accommodation!!!!

I stayed at Hotel Il Cardo during the Lavaredo Ultra Trail 2026 and I could not have made a better choice. The two sisters who manage the establishment are truly wonderful people: welcoming, available, and always attentive to every need. The hotel is impeccable in every aspect: beautiful, well-kept, and spotless rooms, with daily tidying up. The breakfast is rich, abundant, and of excellent quality, perfect for facing a day of racing or hiking. All of this is immersed in a natural context of great tranquility, ideal for relaxing and regaining energy. We greatly appreciated the platform with the hydromassage, where in the evening we could relax and stretch after the competition. A stay truly deserving of a 10 and praise: we will definitely return! Highly recommended.

Peace and quiet

Had a delightful stay at this charming accommodation. Very helpful staff who treated me kindly. Perfect location a town away from cortina and within distance to best sites in the dolomites. I highly recommend !!! Good breakfast, ample parking, comfy room. 10/10

Week on the snow

Family run hotel located in the woods of San Vito di Cadore a few meters from the ski lifts friendly and helpful staff room price excellent impeccable cleaning all with terrace towards the valley magnificent experience to repeat

Ski-in -Ski Out Family Friendly

Our family experience was amazing! The customer service is for sure 5-Stars! The views are spectacular and the sauna and hot tub was perfect for a relaxation period after a long ski day. It's is the perfect ski in-ski out with a kids snow area with jumpy castles and 2 magic carpets all with a 3 minute walk. Perfect for a family with newborn and two toddlers. They even had snow tubing and sled riding. A restaurant on the mountain with amazing views and the chairlift right down the hill which you can ski too. Supermarket down the road and delicious restaurants in San Vito all 2-3 minutes away. They even have a San Vito ski bus to and from town for free. If you want to go to Cortina D'Ampezzo only about a 20 minute bus ride from San Vito. Don't think twice and book this place if you want a cozy but spacious welcoming Hotel with the most kindness of sisters and family ready to make you feel right at home.

... bad already at the time of booking...

I found the hotel on Tripadvisor that linked to the booking site, but there was not much information about the rooms. As I had specific requests about the room I contacted the hotel directly. The attendant refused my booking as 4 nights and not 5 (permanence he says minimum in the period I wanted).
I therefore asked if, by booking through Booking (the platform gave the possibility even for one night...) I would risk cancelling my reservation. Shortly after I receive an email "Good evening, I checked but does not let her conclude the booking because she asks for 5 nights".
Basita, I wanted to check why I often use the platform for bookings and I had never happened to refuse at the last minute: the hotel was no longer available!
I hate being made fun of. It would have been enough to reply: "Thank you for reporting, we will correct."
Making fun of the customer is always wrong, and being made fun of is extremely unpleasant.
