The location is in the centre of Bologna within an easy walk to everything. The staff was amazing. We had a problem with a cancelled flight and they made some important phone calls for us. The common space is warm and elegant and the rooms were great.

Strict Check-in Policy - Read the Fine Print

I booked a three-night prepaid stay at 051 Room & Breakfast through Expedia and unfortunately missed an important detail: this property has strict pre-arrival requirements, including a limited check-in window and no late check-in. If you do not complete the necessary arrangements and arrive after reception closes, you may be treated as a no-show.
That is exactly what happened to us. We arrived late due to our flight schedule, attempted to contact the property using the listed phone number and WhatsApp contact, but received no response. We found another hotel for the night and returned promptly at the beginning of the next check-in period the following afternoon, expecting to use the remaining two nights of our prepaid reservation.
Instead, we were told that our reservation had been canceled and that our room was no longer available. We received no refund even though we had paid for three nights.
I accept responsibility for missing the check-in requirements, but I was disappointed that there was no flexibility or communication for a fully prepaid guest who made reasonable efforts to reach the property.
My advice to future travelers: if there is any chance you will arrive after the published check-in hours, or if your travel plans could be delayed, this property may not be a good fit. Make absolutely certain you understand and complete all pre-arrival requirements before you travel.

The staff were so helpful, the property and rooms are clean, and it could not be located better! A little loud at night as it’s near where students hang out but would for sure stay here again!

This hotel was lovely and perfectly located for our time in Bologna. Our room (#5) was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff was great - they answered any question we might have and gave us excellent recommendations. At breakfast there was a wide variety of foods to choose from and all that we tried were very good. We would highly recommend this establishment for your stay in the heart of Bologna.
