Hilltop luxury
We stayed at La Monastica hotel for two nights. Even with Google Maps, and the help of the hotel, it was a bit challenging to find, but so worth it when we did. The renovation is excellent, and not just standard hotel specification - all the luxury you expect, with character. The room was spacious (we had illuminata), and well appointed, and the air conditioning was excellent (appreciated in a heat wave). The terraced garden was lovely, and the two small pools perfect to refresh. Dinner was excellent, with good service, and the views were amazing (as they were from the whole property). The only downside was wasps at dinner - presumably attracted by the food at dusk. Once night fell there were none. We would strongly recommend.

What a wonderful time we spent. Staff excellent, everyone so friendly, rooms fabulous, food fantastic and our cookery class with Chef Igor was fab and such fun. We enjoyed the spa and will certainly go back

Best place in Tuscany
A truly relaxing and peaceful destination with breathtaking views and outstanding service. It is an ideal place for those seeking tranquility and comfort in a beautiful setting. However, it may not be the best choice for families with young children, as there is no dedicated swimming pool area designed for them.
The restaurant is another highlight of the property, offering excellent service and high-quality food. The staff are attentive and professional, making the dining experience especially enjoyable. The only suggestion for improvement would be to expand the menu, as a wider variety of dishes would make an already excellent culinary experience even better.

Wonderful Experience - top notch resort
I literally cried when we had to leave La Monastica! My partner and I spent four days and three nights at this wonderful resort and the hospitality was wonderful from the second we arrived. The property is breathtaking -- beautifully landscaped and serene. All of the little touches of care were so thoughtful. From the pillow menu to the sweet nightly turn down service. The beds were insanely comfortable (best sleep I've had in awhile) and the spa was also really peaceful. The restaurant was fabulous so it was easy to dine in every night. I highly recommend taking the garden tour so you can appreciate what the resort has to offer even more! The breakfast was beautifully done and I can't speak highly enough of the staff that is there. They make you feel like a friend with such care. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

A magical resort
La Monastica exceeded our expectations in every way!
Sitting high above the neighboring towns it really is a magical resort. From the moment we arrived and were greeted at our car we knew it was a special hotel. Elena, Paola and our food server (Erena ?) along with all of the staff we interacted with were polite, genuinely friendly and helpful. We were there during the extreme heat of June, so our daily routine was centered around the pools and finding shade. The two pools are on the smaller size, but we never felt crowded. There aren’t many restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so we mainly ate at the hotel. The Spa facilities are fabulous. We were in room 101, a fantastic Jr. Suite with a balcony. The furnishings and decor do a superb job of blending the history of the Monastery with a fun a vibrant twist. Breakfast was great - a wonderful buffet supplemented by a few order off-the-menu items.
We eagerly await our next opportunity to return!
