More than just a simple 3-star!
We stayed at this hotel during the first week of August and we can say, without a doubt, that it was a truly fantastic experience.
Everything was impeccable, from the cleanliness and care of the room to the quality of the food, to the kindness, professionalism, and politeness of all the staff. From the very first day, we felt welcomed and, above all, **at home**.
We had a small problem with the room's air conditioner and, to our great surprise, someone arrived in less than 10 minutes to fix it. This is just a small example of the great attention that is reserved for guests and the care for every detail.
The shuttle service to the beach was also perfect: convenient, punctual, and really well organized.
For everything it offers and especially for the quality of the service, in our opinion, this is not a simple 3-star hotel, but much more. You can perceive passion, attention, and the desire to make guests feel good.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a vacation in **Capo Vaticano**. If you are looking for a place where you can feel welcomed, pampered, and treated with attention, this is definitely the right place.

A perfect, well-maintained 3-star hotel with excellent food! Super for us, we will definitely be back.
I will describe it to you in detail.
Cuisine: excellent. My family and I opted for half board and we always ate more than well at dinner. The choice is made between three first courses, three second courses, and three side dishes, and the meal concludes with dessert or fruit. Nothing pre-cooked, everything is always delicious!!
Breakfast is rich, abundant, and well-assorted: cakes, croissants, but also savory options with bread, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs. Nothing is missing. The machine for hot drinks, moreover, is a professional machine, so the quality of coffee, cappuccino, and the like is excellent.
Those who take advantage of half-board can opt for an Easy lunch menu at lunch, which is very convenient after returning from the beach. You can decide day by day, without booking; you just need to arrive between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.
Hotel location: the hotel is very close to Grotticelle beach (enchanting sea). It can be reached on foot with a five-minute walk. It must be pointed out, however, that the road is downhill, and to get back up from the beach, you have to tackle an uphill climb. It is not particularly demanding, but it might be a bit difficult for children, for those who have difficulty walking, or in general under the scorching sun. To overcome the problem, however, the hotel provides a very convenient shuttle (three trips in the morning and three in the afternoon). As for the town, it is non-existent: no classic center typical of seaside villages where you can take a walk in the evening. Outside the hotel there is nothing but other hotel facilities. So it depends on what you are looking for on vacation. A car is certainly essential if you want to get around. A few minutes away by car, we recommend an excellent ice cream parlor/pastry shop (Corte del Sole) perfect for spending the evening. Finally, I would like to point out that the hotel is in a good location for reaching Tropea (20 minutes by car) and other beaches on the Coast of the Gods.
Staff: all the staff are kind, helpful, and friendly, both the guys in the dining room and the reception managers. We had a very good experience with everyone!
Other: the hotel has a beautiful pool, small but ideal for relaxing and for entertaining the children. Regarding cleanliness as well, the hotel appears well-maintained in all its areas.
All guests, moreover, can ask at the reception for umbrellas for the public beach: there are plenty of them and there is no risk of running out. To conclude, there is a parking lot inside the property.
In summary: we highly recommend this splendid hotel to everyone!!!!
P.s. this has nothing to do with the hotel, but I think it can be a useful tip: the beach that you reach from the hotel is run by the "onda blu" beach club, which we strongly advise against because of its crazy prices! (A waffle cone 3.80 / a slice of watermelon or melon 7 euros / chips 5 euros) I'll leave the evaluations to you!

Fantastic vacation
We felt so lucky to have found the hotel and the area- Capo Vaticano for our summer vacation this year. The hotel was perfect for us. Room was so nice with good working air conditioning and refrigerators, a large balcony with a nice view where you can only see the water. Hotel had a lovely swimming pool with many sunbeds. The whole area of the hotel very well kept with the plants and flowers. The staff at the hotel are really nice and friendly and always there to give us good recommendations for our holiday. Hotel is very close to the most beautiful beach in Capo Vaticano. We went down there to the beach but they also have a shuttle if we want a lift. Breakfast was good- everything from fresh fruit and bread to all the Italian breakfast cakes.
I would definitely recommend it and will very much back one day. Fantastic vacation!

Really good hotel
Super nice hotel
One feels really welcome, nice rooms with air conditioning and fridge big balcony with sea look everything is clean and well-maintained, delicious pool, the staff are really nice and are always ready to help and tell about the tours and the area

I will return at least once a year for the next 10 years. Fabulous
Extremely friendly and sincere staff. I have visited many places, but the sincerity of the staff at this resort really struck me; they are exquisite and very honest people. Speaking of the price-quality ratio, it is truly excellent, with shuttle services included in the price of the stay to pick you up at the Ricadi train station and daily trips in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening to go to/return from the beach. Top-quality restaurant; even if the dishes do not look gourmet aesthetically, trust me that this is true Calabrian cuisine, exquisite; excellent prices.
It is thanks to a staff like this that a great memory of a vacation is created, and I tell you that thanks to this kindness, even if there are small things to take care of aesthetically and structurally, I will gladly return! Hotel L'Ancora is a guarantee. It feels like being pampered by the love of a family!
