Vacanza stupenda
Immersi nella natura con una vista mozzafiato. Nota super positiva la meravigliosa piscina, la pulizia dell’immobile e la cortesia del proprietario. Assolutamente da consigliare. Ci vediamo il prossimo anno

Beautiful Location, but room for improvement
This property is a beautiful villa set high up in the mountains overlooking the town of Cefalu and the coastline, it has a great view across the valley before the land reaches the sea. The area itself is a great place to visit but a car is 100% necessary.
The villa is split off into 5 suites or so with a shared swimming pool, car park and barbecue (coal can be purchased at the supermarket in town and the staff will provide you with barbecue equipment if you ask). The garden and pool with sun lounges are well maintained. And from what I have seen each of the suites have an outside seating area overlooking the valley. The villa is complete with cooking utensils and crockery with basic cooking equipment - this varies from suite to suite as to what is actually included. The rooms are incorrectly advertised on some websites with air conditioning, some rooms have air conditioning but some rooms can get uncomfortably hot and don't have it. My family had several rooms in the villa, my room was one without air conditioning, it did have a ceiling fan, but it was definitely the worst ceiling fan I have ever used in my life. The positioning of the fan between some beams meant that it didn't blow any air at all, and the plague of mosquitoes around the villa made it a difficult decision on whether opening the windows was worthwhile, as there are no mosquito nets. The mosquitoes were an issue throughout the holiday, I am not sure why there were so many, but I suspect the well or the well watered grass are part to blame.
The service provided was virtually none which suited us fine as you don't really expect a lot of service in a self-service villa, as I can't speak Italian I don't think it's fair to expect the staff to speak English, and they don't.We did have an issue with running water not working in one of the suites and called the villa manager whom made his way extremely quickly to the villa (he must live next door) and rectified the situation very quickly.
In terms of the amenities, they should definitely think a little more carefully on what crockery to include in each suite as it was quite inconsistent. There is ample furniture, but the mattresses were terribly uncomfortable, as were the sofa's in the lounge. The tables outside were very nice and there were plenty of seats to accommodate the entire family.
If anyone is staying here and looking for a good beach, the beach in Cefalu is very busy, and there is a nicer beach just to the west of Mazzaforno.

Personale sicuramente cordiale ma :
L’appartamento aveva forte odore di chiuso, la zona giardino davanti la camera era invasa dalle zanzare (era quindi impossibile fare colazione all’aperto), l’arredamento della camera era obsoleto e non neanche tanto ben pulito, TV non trasmette solo 4 canali Rai.
Note positive : piscina con vista spettacolare su Cefalù, personale gentile e disponibile
Conclusioni : ci saremmo aspettati molto di più, delusi.

A éviter absolument
Voici le récit d’une coûteuse mésaventure suite à la location de l’appartement Bougainville de la villa Eleanor de Cefalu pour 7 nuits en septembre 2018 :
- l’accès: le gps ne trouvait pas donc 1 h de recherche et une route très étroite et en mauvais état ;
- dès l’entrée, une odeur de moisissure nous saisit avec l’impression d’entrer dans une cave: deux fenêtres dans le séjour (dont une avec moustiquaire trouée), le réduit qui sert de cuisine n’en a pas, tout comme la chambre (moisissures sur le tour du lit), les salles d’eau sont horribles:carrelages identiques au reste de l’appartement ment donc glissants avec une vieille pomme de douche en hauteur et sans rideau de douche pour l’une et juste à côté des wc;
- les équipements mobiliers sont inconfortables tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur mais inutilisables de toute façon car les moustiques et les guêpes pullulent (les abords ne sont pas entretenus et un puisard reccueillant l’eau de pluie stagnante se trouve sous la fenêtre du séjour). Pour les mêmes raisons, on ne peut rester plus de 5 minutes autour de la piscine où flottent de nombreux insectes morts.
Nous avons quitté notre champignonnière à l’issue de la première nuit en perdant 600 euros puisque le propriétaire n’a pas voulu nous rembourser !
Ne louez donc surtout pas ce logement lorsque vous projèterez de visiter cette merveilleuse île où nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis jusqu’à cette mésaventure.

Fantastisch!
Heerlijke plek met prachtig uitzicht op Cefalu! Rustige locatie met beperkt aantal appartementen/kamers. Zwembad is prima en de eigenaar vriendelijk. Wel een stijl weggetje er naartoe. Onze kinderen vonden het er heerlijk.
