Excellent hotel, worth using as a base to visit Umbria
Straight by the old town, with a nice view on the surroundings, it has a lush garden, a plunge pool with a spa type area built-in. The room albeit a tat small (16sqm) was super comfy and very quiet, bathroom compact but clean and nicely made. The amenities were a local high quality brand. There was no nespresso type machine in the room, but the Breakfast hall is few meters away on GF. There was a rather large closet, well thought, that enables even to store the suitcase lying flat inside, so the smaller room wont feel constraint. A desk, a chair and an armchair complete the stylish furniture and decoration.
Breakfast was good and service overall professional and attentive, efficient.
To be noted, the restaurant on site is of very high level, and serves seasonal local dishes, we had diner there and wer highly satisfied, albeit there are some very good options / renowned in the village itself, you won't go wrong having diner here.
If there was 1 con to be mentionned, it would be that there is no direct parking on premises, but 2 large public car parks within 100m walking distance, and in the street along the hotel, parking is for free in that area of the city.
So 0 difficulties to come by car and use this incredibly lovely hotel as a perfect base to explore the region including Perugia or Arrezzo among others, all are within 1h driving, and this hotel justify to stay in Citta delle Pieve. A very good and real 4stars, with attentive service, very quiet rooms,
