Sunday lunch

We just went to eat there by accident -I saw the sign on the street. We were 4 people: 2 teenagers , 2 adults. There was lots of food - to be honest too much for us ( children ate just pasta , but they could play outside). Service was friendly and we felt welcome there. Parking was easy.

Attention when booking! Prices change!

Terrible experience. A few days before my arrival insists on cancelling the Reservation for "not adequate price". Price he did, however. He raises his voice, arrogantly saying that he "makes the rules" and once forced to cancel the Reservation, I immediately find my room booked ONLY two days before to mark up more than 300 euros! Basically in 2 days he decided to increase the price and wanting to earn more he canceled ours. Bullying and rudeness in a pure state.

To avoid

Following a reservation by telephone, 48 hours previously, we called back the same day, at midday to report a slight delay of just a few minutes
We were told, in a very rude tone, that there was no reservation.
That besides the restaurant was closed
(Tired person..!!! ??)
Faced with our intrigued curiosity we were told that we had made a mistake, almost that this situation was our fault, and that we did not know what we had done!!
All this in an increasingly angry and incorrect tone.
At no time did anyone apologize to us.
This attitude is unworthy of a professional and completely lacks correctness and honesty.
Address therefore to be definitively forgotten
The positive point of this misadventure is that we were able to discover, in Dolceacqua, a very pleasant inn, which received us with a smile, friendly competence despite the somewhat late arrival, for a very friendly and not lunch.
Fortunately we were able to find real professionals there who do not exist in “La Vecchia”

A very interesting meal!

I have eaten quite often at La Vecchia since I live in the area, and have never been disapointed. The menu is presented and one eats what one wants from a big selection of anit-pasti, pasta dishes and main courses, with various sweets to follow; everything is fresh and home made. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians, fish eaters and omnivores. The service is attentive too. The red wine is better than the white for my taste.

Worst meal I have ever eaten in italy EVER!!!

We are currently living in Sanremo, italy for the year. My husband is italian and I'm from Australia. We eat out 3-4 times a week. Today we went for a drive and decided to try this 'argriturismo' for lunch. I can honestly say this by far the worst meal I have ever eaten in Italy. We holidayed last year for 3 months and this time have been in Italy for 5 months... So we have eaten at a lot of places. Starters... Stale bread with ricotta and olive paste.. Next an assortment of pizza, vegetable pie, and a plate of buffalo cheese, cauliflower, fennel and olives... Just eatable with no taste or flavor, next two types of pasta, one with pesto, potato and beans and the other muscles and octopus that was definitely not fresh as it stunk. (I didn't even touch it) next... Main was rabbit and lamb that was as tough as an old boot, desert was okay., a slice or pie and pineapple. The wine was 'house wine' ... That was okay after the second glass.... The total bill was 75 euro. I couldn't believe it... They saw us coming... If you want really good food DON'T eat here!
