Modern, clean, family run hotel with great view.
If you are looking for a modern, clean hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and an amazing view then look no further.
We booked a front lake view room and were fortunate enough to be given room 26, it is top floor with the best view of the lake and pool. The room is a good size with everything you need, a nice big, shaded balcony, it is spotless like the rest of the hotel. The shower room is also a good size and modern, the shower was great, only slight niggle was it is too powerful for the drain... we flooded the floor on our fist night. We soon learned to only turn it on 2/3, still plenty powerful enough but without the paddling pool! There is a road between the hotel and the lake so be aware that there is some noise from the cars if you sit outside or have the balcony door open but once the door is closed we found the soundproofing is excellent.
Breakfast was good, a variety of cold cuts, fruit, pastries plus eggs freshly cooked however you like them, the view across the pool and lake is a great way to start the day. Speaking of the pool, that was our favourite place to be, immaculately clean, set in beautifully kept gardens with that awesome view. A couple of minor bits of feedback.... could do with a few more sunbeds around the pool, maybe bring some down from the sun terrace on top of the breakfast room which is hardly used, also the giant parasol in the corner is great, if you could get another two of those to provide shade it would relly benefit those who want a break from the sun or have kids.
Finally I have to highlight the people who work at Hotel Domaso, it is family run and they all go out of their way to make your stay perfect, a special mention to Letizia (I hope I've spelt that right) who was always friendly and helpful and even went out of her way to give us a lift when she couldn't get a taxi for us, and also to Paola, the queen of the breakfast room who always greeted us with a smile and made sure everything was perfect.

Charming family hotel
The recent hotel is ideally located.
Functional room with balcony.
View of the lake and the lovely pool.
Flowering and well-maintained environment.
Hearty and varied breakfast orchestrated by the multilingual Paola, assisted by her husband and brother-in-law.
At the reception, Lara and Laeticia make us feel that we made the right choice!!
Highly recommended.

Perfect little stay at Hotel Domaso
Very welcome.
The breakfast ladies are very friendly especially Paola who speaks good French.

Went so...but not particularly welcoming
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and even helped us bring the luggage to the apartment.
The apartment itself was very poorly equipped. There were not even wine glasses...hard to imagine in this wine country.
Since we were traveling a lot, this did not harm our stay at Lake Como. Nevertheless, we would choose another accommodation next time.
