Good location better staff

Hotel Rodes was a perfect spot for my girlfriend and I. It was central to all of the trails and sights of the Dolomites we wanted to see. Apart from the good location the staff lead by Zeki made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Zeki went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. He would be the reason we would choose to stay here again.

Just got back. We were there in 2022, but it was much better. Breakfast with cakes, this year no, better dinner and to be chosen at the moment... Strange... The only positive thing is the kindness of the waiters.

So-so....

I spent a vacation of a few days as a couple, I would start immediately by listing what worked for us.
Certainly the cleanliness of the rooms, the courtesy, the spa with pool, the parking lot located outside the hotel, large and surrounded by greenery. The property is located outside the center of Ortisei, which can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes, or with the convenient buses, with a stop immediately outside the hotel, but be careful! The buses do not run in the evening.
What should be improved: the property is certainly dated and would need a general refresh, the Wi-Fi is not excellent and it even happens that it disappears every now and then, the breakfast is certainly abundant, but I found it a bit industrial, no homemade cakes, coffee and cappuccino from the automatic machine quite poor.
Dinner with a good buffet certainly, but the choice with only two first courses and two second courses served at the table is a bit too little and above all I did not eat many typical dishes.
The dessert was poor, without homemade cakes and what was there was also repeated for several days.
Overall I saw few guests in the dining room, for being in August, if I were the Management I would give it a wake-up call.
Overall the experience was positive, but with the prices of Val Gardena one would have expected much more.

Mountains in summer

Excellent location for its tranquility surrounded by greenery, a stone's throw from the center. Very kind and attentive staff. Especially the dining room manager and at the reception. Rooms always well-kept and clean. Furthermore, it was pleasant to use the spa area with pool, sauna and Turkish bath.

I had a really great time at this hotel, the staff is very kind and attentive to the smallest details, in particular the dining room manager Zeki, I will definitely return❤️
