Truly a Stupendous Experience
We (a couple) booked private airport and train station transfers with Como Lake Suites host. The host on time and did not rush us through the entire process.
The location of the property was Excellent. It was recently renovated. The apartment was very spacious, and spotless clean, including private bathroom, kitchen, and a living room. We had everything we needed in the apartment. It was more than what we expected compared to other places we stayed in Italy. It's very close to markets, restaurants, and churches. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. We would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to others!!
The host (Samuel) was always responsive to my inquiries. He went above and beyond to make us happy. He was very polite, respectfully, and HONEST!! Sam provided two private tours to Bellagio + Varenna and Menaggio. He recommended us do a tour on the opposite side of Lake Como (Menaggio, Cernonbio, Lennon, Tremezzo, and Cremia), The tour experiences were commendable. They are beautiful and worth seeing. Sam made sure that our trip was hassle trip and provided tips around the city. We had plenty of time to walk around for shopping and pictures. We were unsure abt where to eat and without hesitation, Sam helped us to reserve the restaurants. He is a very professional man and is a pleasure to be around.
Again, I highly recommend this property and the tours to others.

AVOID
DO NOT BOOK this place. We booked 7 months in advance for a family of 4 through booking.com. One month before travelling the owner cancelled our booking stating we had booked for only 2 people and must cancel & rebook for 4, at course at double the price this happened despite our confirmation clearly stating we had booked for the correct number of people. Not happy…

Superb Apartment
We have just spent a week in Como at Suite Volta. This was the first time we had stayed in an apartment and, as it was a surprise birthday treat from my husband, I had no idea what to expect. I am extremely fussy when it comes to accommodation and won't usually consider anything less than a 5* hotel, so was more than pleasantly surprised upon arrival to be greeted by the owner of the apartment, who took our bags up to the 5th floor in the lift and was joined by his wife, Marilena who showed us around and explained everything.
The apartment is really spacious, light and airy. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and has quality furniture and fittings. There are 3 bedrooms, two with large comfortable beds and one with smaller, twin beds (ideal for children). The two bathrooms are ultra modern with powerful showers, good lighting and quality toiletries, towels, etc. The kitchen is equipped with all the cutlery, china, glass, condiments, etc that you could possibly want and includes a dishwasher, an ice making machine and a coffee maker .. there was even a complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, which was a nice touch.
There are large TVs in the bedrooms and living room, which pick up channels, films, etc from all over the world, including the BBC. Windows are fitted with electric blinds as well as curtains.
The living room has a large comfortable L shaped sofa.
There is a small balcony off the living room which has a side view of the Lake and two chairs. The utility room has spare umbrellas, an iron and an ironing board. There is even a universal travel adaptor provided and there are plenty of electrical sockets and charging points. There is an efficient and powerful hairdryer. Beds are large and comfortable and the wardrobes have plenty of hanging space, coat hangers and storage drawers. There is a full length mirror in both double bedrooms.
The apartment is located very centrally in Como and within a 5 minutes walk of the Lake and the ticket office for boat trips. (Note that tickets can only be bought on the day you wish to travel, so this might involve having to get there at 8 in the morning to avoid the long queues). Our booking included breakfast at Cafe Touring in Piazza Cavour, which was a very short walk from the apartment. The breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice of menu. The railway station, shops, supermarket, restaurants, cathedral, funicular, etc. are all within easy reach.
It is well worth taking a train journey from Como to Milan. Trains are clean and efficient and tickets are really cheap. The nearest station is Como Lake Nord and you buy your ticket from the lady in the sweet shop! You can also depart from San Giovanni station which is a bit further away (near to where the ferries are moored). Both lines take you into the centre of Milan.
We had a most enjoyable stay in Como and the apartment really did feel like a home from home. Massimiliano and Marilena were wonderful hosts, who were most helpful and kept in touch with us via WhatsApp throughout our stay. We would recommend Como Lake Suites to anyone visiting the area.

Would leave it 0 stars if I could. AVIOD AVIOD AVIOD!!!! the owners are rude and terrible. Was planning on going here with my family and the owner just cancelled the apartment for no reason. After the reading the most recent reviews I should have never booked!! Stay away and AVIOD people.

Do not book with him. He is a thief and a liar. Don’t book this
Beware of the owner of the apartment. This is a person who I expect is of French origins and lives in Italy. He is a fraud and a thief and is trying to rob you in any way!!!!! He has impolite words, and when you leave the residence, he tries to create stories against you and accuse you of false things, just because you pay him large sums of money!!!! He is disrespectful and has no morals, and many Como residents complain about his bad behavior!!! Reckon that God will protect you from all evil, and if you can, share people’s opinions
