A lovely place to stay in Levico Terme
This was the second hotel that we stayed at during our ‘Secret Lakes of Italy’ tour, and we stayed there for 4 nights. After not being particularly impressed by our first hotel, we were hoping for a more comfortable stay at the Hotel Liberty and were not disappointed. On arrival, we thought that the building looked lovely – it was covered with flowers and had some interesting decorative features. It was a boiling hot day, so it was also nice that the reception area was lovely and cool (and nicely decorated). Check-in was relatively swift, but it took a while to get up to our room as the lift was quite small and slow (and we were part of a big group).
We had only booked a standard room, so were delighted to be given a family room on the 4th (top) floor, which had 2 rooms – one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Both rooms had Velux windows, with lovely views of the lake. Unfortunately, being on the top floor also had a big downside – both rooms were boiling hot. There was an air conditioning unit above the room entrance, which we ended up having to leave on for most of the day to make any impact on the temperature and, even then, the cool air did not reach the double bedroom. We tried switching off the air conditioning at night and opening the Velux windows to try and cool down both rooms, but this didn’t help much. In the end, we decided to sleep in separate rooms so that we could deal with the heat better at night. I’d definitely suggest that the hotel puts a fan in the double bedroom during the summer months. Aside from the heat issues, we really liked our room though – we had lots of space for our belongings, and it was very quiet. The décor was nice, and the bathroom was well equipped. The fridge was welcome, although it took us a while to realise that it would only stay on if the electricity card was left in the slot, which seemed like a bit of a design flaw. Overall, it was definitely an upgrade from our previous hotel!
We had 4 breakfasts and 1 group dinner in the on-site restaurant. At breakfast, there was lots of choice, and the food was of very good quality, although some of the items were not replenished frequently enough (particularly the milk and the water). We also enjoyed our group dinner, apart from the main course which was just meat and potatoes with no salad or garnish. We also thought that it was odd that there was no water provided, and that the staff did not ask if we wanted to order any, although it was easy to get drinks from the bar. It also explains why our group were so merry by the end of dinner!
We thought that the location of the Hotel was very good, as it is a short walk from the town centre, and near to the path down to the lake (which was an uphill slog on the way back, particularly in the heat). The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well. We don’t have any plans to go back to Levico Terme but, if we do, we’d be happy to stay at the Hotel Liberty again (as long as the weather wasn’t as hot).

I expected so much more
The staff on arrival was friendly and friendly offering us a refreshing cocktail, the breakfast is rich and varied, the hotel is very close to the center and conveniently located. We had a problem with the bidet and the next day, having arrived on a Sunday, it was promptly fixed. The negative notes of this stay was the really small and old-fashioned room, poor cleaning having found various cobwebs and lost hair, and the lack of air conditioning. There was a fan but it was like not having it so sleeping at night was a real problem. For the price I expected much more.

A unique pleasure
After being greeted by a welcome cocktail and a friendly and helpful receptionist, we went up to the room and enjoyed the quality of the accommodation and the view overlooking the lake. Breakfast was sublime: there was salty, sweet and we were surprised by the variety of everything on offer. The hotel is 500m from the center, has no parking, although with the help of the receptionist we have always parked in nearby places and no fee.

very nice
I've never been to Levico, 4 days to escape the Po Valley heat. I chose Liberty, it inspired me. Already on arrival I was happy with the choice. At the entrance, guests will find a large container, liberty sile with a refreshing drink, iced, Elderberry, mint, zenero and lemon, really refreshing. At the reception a very kind gentleman explains some things with classical music in the background, this music will accompany us throughout the period, really relaxing. The recently restored hotel is furnished in a modern and a little liberty style, very elegant. Great sweet and savory breakfasts. The Hotel also offers a Bistrot, shame only for lunch, I had lunch 2 times, few dishes but very tasty and sought after. The girl at the tables very kind and very discreet, the reception followed a lady and a boy also friendly people and always available to my request for information . I'm sorry I couldn't.
