A magical holiday in the woods...

Abandoned the heat of the city, my husband and I spent a cool and pleasant weekend in this beautiful property, which lends itself very well to important events. The warm welcome made us feel at home. The staff is helpful, helpful, ready to meet the requests of guests. Swimming pool and greenery are taken care of. The rooms, clean and comfortable, are located in houses surrounded by woods and furnished with antique Sicilian style furniture. Good quality of sleep. Also good breakfast, both sweet and savory. For dinner, the restaurant serves really tasty and well prepared dishes. The value for money is more than adequate. I will cherish a fond memory of this "enchanting" holiday. Highly recommended.

Place not to recommend to anyone.

A place not to recommend to anyone. Bad treatment. cold room tempered by 2 tiny radiators that can not heat the room, set up by an air conditioner in which I was denied the remote control. Military breakfast to residues of the day before.

Two nights in August

Structure more suited to single events, such as weddings, than to accommodation with living rooms. Overall we had a good time with the tranquility and friendly staff. Ownership absent.
Structure 8 (large outdoor spaces with the possibility of walking and isolated areas in nature)
Room 6 (room with mezzanine but space a little constrained)

What a great place

What a great time we had at Borgata Baldazza. Manuela, Gigi and Andrea were great. They made our stay super special. The food was very very good and homely. Compliments to the chef. It was our second stay at it did not change a bit. The grounds are great and well maintained. We will surely be back. Well done!

A nice place to explore Etna's wine region from

Lovely little place within Etna's wine region. You need a car to be able to stay here as it is in the middle of nowhere. We arrived mid-afternoon, during a thunderstorm in August. Unfortunately our room was stull being cleaned by the chamber maid. However, we were able to sit in shelter on our terrace and my husband was able to purchase some of their own produced wine. Once the room was clean and we could move our bags in, the rain had subsided, so we moved to sit around the pool. The pool attendant was very quick to wipe a couple of sunbeds dry for us, although with little sun we only sat by the pool for a short while. The following morning as we were checking out after breakfast we saw some families with children making full use of the large pool area. Our room was on two levels, with the actual bed itself on a mezzanine. Downstairs we had a wardrobe, another couple of beds, table and chairs and bathroom. The grounds within which this is set in, is very pleasant, with small olive groves. We had an evening meal, sat outside under a lovely arbour. The waiter was friendly, efficient, explaining different dishes and wines and our food was lovely. We only stopped here the one night as we were travelling around the area, but worth the one night stop if you are exploring the wineries. My only area for improvement would be that they restock the buffet breakfast a little more frequently, we sat and waited for more cheese and meat which never arrived.
