PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

I stayed at this hotel one night with my girlfriend. Classic Tuscan location 10 minutes drive from Lucca.
Stable held to perfection.
Large and well ventilated double bedroom. Despite the 35 degrees outside, the room with air or open windows was very comfortable.
Very characteristic also the outdoor pool with a remarkable view of the Tuscan hills.
Unfortunately we could not stop for dinner, because of booking elsewhere; however, at breakfast nothing is missing. Lunch has a reduced menu but does not lose quality.
Advice for those looking for a bit of tranquility and peace.
Owner person way.

The check in time of 2pm is not correct on hotels.com so when we arrived, there was only one member of staff and we were ignored for an hour. Check in is actually at 3pm but even still, our room wasn't ready. It was quickly turned around and we had a beautiful room with two floors and a large terrace. The pool is lovely but doesn't have enough loungers for the number of guests. The views are brilliant. The lady working on her own in the hotel, restaurant, and bar, was so very nice and clearly doing her best. I asked for an iron but it was never produced. The drinks are expensive and the measures are stingy. On check-out, we were charged too much tax and although we disputed this, the owner insisted we pay. But when we produced evidence, he conceded he'd taken too much money but said he couldn't process a refund and didn't hold more than 10EUR cash. He reluctantly emailed the card company to process a refund. Unlike his colleague, he was not very friendly. It felt as though they were trying to make money out of us unnecessarily. Had these things not happened, this place would have received a fiver start review because it is charming!

Stunning views, but bring noise-canceling headphones and a cooling suit

Pros:
The location is undeniably the highlight. Driving through kilometers of olive groves to reach the hotel is a dream, and the view from the property is breathtaking. The pool area is well-maintained, and there is plenty of parking available.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the "dream" ended once we entered our attic room. Despite temperatures exceeding 35°C in August, the room was equipped only with an ancient, loud monoblock air conditioner. The real kicker? It only works when the key card is inserted. This meant the room turned into a literal oven while we were out, with the brick walls radiating heat well into the night. We spent seven nights choosing between sleep-depriving noise or unbearable heat. It turns out "rest" wasn't included in the price.
While the common areas enjoy modern, silent split-unit ACs, the attic guests seem to be treated as an afterthought. This “necessary evil” mood was also reflected in the behavior of the owner, who was friendly at first, but then quickly seemed indifferent and uninterested.
The on-site restaurant is decent but overpriced for what it offers. Be prepared for a language barrier: the staff speaks only Italian. If you’re unlucky, your request for a lemonade might result in a Limoncello—refreshing, sure, but not quite what you asked for.
Verdict:
If you enjoy 35-degree rooms and the sound of a jet engine while you sleep, the attic is for you. Otherwise, stay elsewhere or insist on a room in the lower floors.

Disappointment

Welcoming was poor, breakfast very succinct and repetitive.
Coffee machine broke down, had to empty the coffee grounds ourselves.
The room is good.
Not at all warm

Not a 4-star hotel

Had booked a 3 person room, and got a room with a double bed and an extremely poor and narrow extra bed. No useful safe for storage (other than a closet for hanging clothes), bad smell in the bathroom. Medium good breakfast. Fantastic views from the pool and dining area. The place lacks "attention" and the room was worn out. Definitely not a 4-star hotel.
