An unmissable stay for every Ferrari enthusiast
The main and truly distinctive element of Hotel Planet is undoubtedly its location, simply perfect for every fan of the Prancing Horse. The property is indeed located just a few meters from the Ferrari racing department and the entrance to the historic factory, as well as a few minutes from the center of Maranello and the Ferrari Museum.
For those who live the Ferrari passion, waking up in the morning, looking out, and seeing the symbol of the Prancing Horse in all its splendor is already an experience that makes the stay worthwhile.
From a more general perspective, the hotel is well-maintained: clean rooms, equipped with all essential comforts, courteous and helpful staff, and free internal parking, which is certainly very convenient for those arriving by car.
Breakfast also offers a good variety of choices, especially regarding the sweet options; perhaps the savory offerings could be slightly broader.
Overall, the quality-price ratio is absolutely excellent, but what truly makes this property special is its location: for a Ferrari enthusiast, it is simply something unique.

Always for a few months
Competence to the utmost kindness cleanliness friendliness especially at the bar from the legendary Giorgia very professional friendly always available and lots of stuff go for an aperitif from Giorgia fantastic

Stay in another location
Dour, aged, tired, a touch depressing. Read all the other reviews carefully and note the only positive is the location - it tells you all you need to know. No smile or warm greeting, no simple introduction or info about breakfast, grey walls, random pieces of ornaments or furniture in the stairwell or corridors, a mattress that you 'sink' into a valley of worn springs or a door that makes the frame move when you pull it shut while the photos don't match the actual rooms shown on Booking's site, breakfast where if you want milk for your cereal you take your cup to the cafe counter so they can pour you some, a breakfast that is the most sorry excuse for an offering I have seen anywhere in the world, not even a single piece of fruit but a choice of 4 or 5 cakes and some lovely stale bread for toast to get your taste buds popping.
I would say it survives purely based on its location where you can walk to the museum, walk to the viewing spots of Fiorano and up to the local cafes.
Everyone is leaving polite reviews but nobody is really spelling it out, this place is tired, stuck in the past and could be so much more, a real mecca for enthusiasts but alas it isn't & I was glad to get out of there to never return.
I regret staying in Maranello, you are better off staying in Modena and getting a taste of rural Italian life or at least finding a nice Airbnb compared to this location.

This is the umpteenth time we have been to the Planet Hotel – and we feel completely comfortable every time! Again, the stay was wonderful, although the situation was far from easy for the team.
We would like to extend a very special thank you to Andrea: With incredible commitment and an impressive tranquility, she managed everything on her own – reception, breakfast for all guests and, in addition, the public cafe business! Despite this extra burden, she was always friendly, attentive and well organized. It really impressed us how confidently and warmly she mastered everything – that deserves the highest credit!
We would also like to praise Youssef from the evening shift, he was also alone with cafe operation, reception and everything: always helpful, courteous and friendly – a real plus for the house.
Thanks to the whole team for another great stay – we will definitely come back!

È l'ennesima volta che soggiorniamo al Planet Hotel e ogni volta ci sentiamo completamente a nostro agio! Anche questa volta il soggiorno è stato meraviglioso, nonostante la situazione fosse tutt'altro che facile per il team.
Vorremmo rivolgere un ringraziamento speciale ad Andrea: con incredibile impegno e una calma impressionante, ha gestito tutto da sola: la reception, la colazione per tutti gli ospiti e anche il caffè pubblico! Nonostante questo carico di lavoro aggiuntivo, è stata sempre cordiale, attenta e ben organizzata. Siamo rimasti davvero colpiti dalla sicurezza e dalla cordialità con cui ha gestito tutto: merita il massimo riconoscimento!
Vorremmo anche elogiare Youssef del turno serale, che si è occupato da solo del caffè, della reception e di tutto il resto: sempre disponibile, cortese e cordiale, un vero valore aggiunto per la struttura.
Grazie mille a tutto il team per un altro fantastico soggiorno: torneremo sicuramente!

THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING
This is not a 4star hotel, it’s more like a 3star, and that’s being generous. I have been to many 4 star establishments, and this falls way short. Let me explain why.
My wife had booked this hotel for my birthday, to visit the Ferrari museums. Firstly, when we arrived at our room, the safe was not working, it was locked, and the air conditioning was also not functioning. After insisting that they needed to look at these items, the gentleman at front desk did come to the room. After half an hour he accepted that the safe was broken, but ‘assured’ me that everything would be ok, as they have cctv. Also that the safe was going to be replaced in the near future. So why put any guests in the room, until this was done? It certainly wasn’t fully booked. This is not acceptable. What if my passport was stolen? How do I get home? The AIRCON did eventually work but had to wait quite a while for this. The pillows are absolutely awful, and more need to be provided. Also no WiFi in the rooms. There’s WiFi in reception, but no connection in our room (last time I checked I was not staying in reception). The shower is next to useless, a rain shower would be more powerful, and the cubicle doors would not close, so water would escape.
I cannot blame the young staff at the hotel, as it looked like they were two jobs at the same time, but who ever owns the hotel needs to up their standards. I could not recommend this hotel to ANYONE, and certainly wouldn’t be staying there again.
