Second visit

Our second visit to this fantastic hotel didn't disappoint.
Food, staff and surrounds are all perfect!
The street food excursion put on by Thompson was rubbish so avoid that one.
Will have a third visit to this hotel ( maybe even later this year)

Lovely Sarah was even better in the attic...

When I entered they didn't ask me for my documents. Room that smells old and closed, without a bedside table, uncomfortable bed, bathroom without bidet and open shower. I went to ask the gentleman at the reception for explanations but he was no longer there! At night I had to add a blanket because it was cold. Terrible breakfast with all products packaged by discounters. There was no staff, I waited for a cappuccino; I hadn't finished yet when the lady who prepared it for me asked me if I had finished because she had to set the table for others. There was no one.

Quiet Location

Hotel Nastro Azzurro was easy to find and situated in a quiet area, with rates that were reasonable compared to those closer to Lake Como.
However, we were disappointed to discover that breakfast was not included, even though we had booked a room with breakfast. What they offered at 5 Euro extra per person felt more like a light, pre-packaged snack, similar to what you'd get on a flight—though the cappuccino was excellent.
The hotel provides free parking, which was convenient, but the building itself is quite dated and could use some updates. There is an elevator available to access the upstairs rooms, which was helpful.
Our room was quiet, clean, and had all the basics, including a hot shower. However, we avoided using the bed covers, as they looked a bit stale, dirty, and worn. On the bright side, we enjoyed the view from our small balcony.
Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was no longer in operation. Thankfully, the front desk clerk, Massimo, recommended his sister's restaurant a few kilometers away, which turned out to be a pleasant asurprise.
If we were passing through this area of Italy again, we would likely look for a different hotel with better amenities and services.

Average hotel

Average, by no means bad but not the usual TUI standard. Rooms are dated, TV must be 20 years old, English news channel only (come on it’s 2023!). WiFi flakey. Food average, limited buffet, meat and bananas rare commodities. Location is ok, local village a nice 20 minute walk. Entertainment great if in your 70’s. Staff are great and friendly. Heard this is changing to a half board hotel, will kill visitors, drink is the only solace .

Lovely setting

My wife and I stayed here for a we in early May.
Check in was swift and accommodating, met with a glass of bubbles.
Our room was a superior room in the annex, room was lovely, with a fantastic view.
Restaurant was also very lovely, breakfast and lunch was mainly buffet, but dinner was served to your table, very nice indeed.
They do have a black and white evening, so take something that'll fit in.
The pool is nice, although a bit chilly, maybe warmer as the season goes on ?
The staff are truly lovely, especially flora the cocktail lady.
