Fabulous location but....

Quite I love staying at this property for one night in August. You have to say that the location is fabulous, the room they gave us, very large, directly overlooking the square but this is the only positive note besides those who welcomed us who was very kind and helpful.
Here are the sore notes:
1) The exit doors (both of the gate and the apartment) only worked with electricity.
Big safety problem because in case of emergency (like blackout or earthquake) the risk is to get stuck inside the apartment. In accommodation facilities, by law, especially in a city like Messina with a high seismic risk, the doors should always have a manual opening mechanism, independent of the current. Leaving only the power is a serious danger for guests.
2) photos published on booking are misleading. They look much more modern and new than they really are
3) poor hygiene, even there was dust on the toilet paper pittops in addition to fouling in the edges and corners of the shower not to mention that in the same the water did not run off and therefore flooded.
4) despite the fact that under the B&B there was a large bar and certainly well stocked, breakfast is provided in a shabby bar where already at 9:30 were available only 2-3 croissants, no croissants or anything suitable for breakfast (cookies, slices of cakes, etc).
What can I say, I can also book in a place where there is no breakfast but honestly where you do not comply with safety or hygiene rules definitely would not return

Disappointing

A structure that presents misleading photos for a location that presents itself uncared for (shower that floods, dirty walls and, a non-existent Breakfast Service for lack of products at 10.00 am and settle for the scarce or almost absent of products To the question why only.2 brioshe: we served the offices. ). Basically structure that does not care about the customer

Privileged position

I stayed at the property out of necessity. Commendable the availability of the host who immediately found me a solution. The two receptionists very kind and always available. Location of absolute privilege to admire the launch of Messina, religious procession held on August 15 and to visit the places of the city center such as the Duomo practically attached. The only flaw should be modernized something like the hydromassage shower that did not work as it should. Cmq positive stay

Mirror for larks

I'm sorry to write a negative review because the owner with whom I spoke by phone was always very kind however this does not prevent me from warning future customers that the photos on the internet (dating back 10 years) provide information not adhering to reality: the common areas do not exist, is accessed by a corridor on which two poorly furnished rooms open, the rooms would also be nice, simply furnished but clean, but after the first impression you can see the magagne, from dilapidated exterior fixtures to pipes of radiators sticking out of the wall. We had to ask to change rooms because the noise from the bar below prevented us from sleeping (we had the best room, the corner one), and for two out of three days we did not have hot water (as I read on other comments is nothing new) ... they apologized and offered to find us another accommodation but the discomfort there was. Also we were not offered any breakfast service... so only bed without breakfast. The square on which the B & B overlooks... but it is beautiful
