Very good hotel in excellent position

This is a small hotel in a perfect position for both the town and the beach. We were there for five days and it was a good base for us. Our room was very clean indeed, with a large bathroom and splendid air conditioning. The bed, however, was very hard! Breakfast was the usual mix of breads, pastries etc., and could be taken on a pleasant balcony terrace. There is a car park, but we were able to park on the street in front with no problem for our entire stay. The beach is a two minute walk away, the town centre a pleasant five minute stroll. We seemed to be the only English people in the area - the hotel told us they rarely have English visitors, and indeed it seems that this is an area where Italians holiday. We had a lovely time, and would recommend this hotel - it is good value, the staff were nice, and it is very clean.

What a nice hotel!

We got a good deal through Bookings so we didn’t expect too much but we were pleasantly surprised. What a nice hotel! The staff were very helpfull, everything looks well maintained and very clean. We got a room on the fourth floor and we overlooked the trees and were able to see the sunrise from our bed! The room was big enough for us, with a balcony and what we especially liked that it had a fridge. I am not too fond of breakfasts in Italian hotels because normally they serve only sweets, but luckily I was able to find a few healthy options. The location of the hotel is close to the beach in within walking distance of the center with shops and restaurants. Overall a very nice hotel where I would like to come again.

Charming staff

We stayed 6 nights at Hotel Plaza in Milano Marittima. There are dozens of hotels with the same description in this seaside resort but this one stood by the quality of the service provide by the family who owns it and its staff. From the grand mother who surveys the ground floor to the mother who manages everything with a steely and classy hand to the charming daughter everyone was attentive and everything had a solution. Breakfast in the wee hours, double parking our large van, etc all was dealt with efficiently and with a smile. Like Christophe said I felt at home.
The hotel is super clean and very well maintained.

Felt at home

Stayed for 5 days at hotel plaza. Very well situated in Milano Marittima near the beach. Rooms are clean and in great conditions. But above all, staff was great and always doing the extra mile to help.

A real find

This is a small, family owned and run hotel, with 3 generations of the Tagliatti family in residence when we arrived for a 3 night stay (2 couples). Service therefore, was excellent and very attentive. The communal areas were large and well furnished, including the outdoor sitting areas, and the outdoor breakfast area. In general, there was a higher level of luxury and comfort than we expected from this modestly-priced hotel. The rooms, each of which had a balcony, were medium-sized, and the hotel had almost every amenity one might find in a luxury hotel, from the safes to the (gratis) bicycles. Everything was in perfect working order or at a high level of comfort--the beds, the airconditioning, the water pressure. The beach was one block away, and the hotel has a special arrangement with 2 of the beach concessions. The sea was clean, and of a comfortable temperature for swimming.
It was interesting to us to note that the hotel attracted a crowd of all ages: young families with their children, middle aged couples, and seniors, as singles or as couples. There was plenty to do in this town, which apparently has been developed as a vacation spot for well-heeled folks from Milano. We enjoyed cycling on the extensive bike paths. Stores on the main commercial street were upscale, and the town is lively. In addition, the family will plan sightseeing for you in the area (Ravenna is close by). Adding meals to your stay will increase the bill modestly; the food is very good and very abundant (there is a large buffet that precedes the 3 courses at lunch or dinner, and one at breakfast). It seemed to us that everyone took some form of meal plan at the hotel. The waitstaff were superb.
This was a wonderful experience for all 4 of us--2 from London and 2 from New York. Unequivocally recommended!
