Beautifully-restored stone building in a quiet town

Fantastic little boutique hotel in a meticulously-restored stone house. Great breakfast and easy parking in a quiet town. Short drive up the hill to Tempio Pausania or there is a cute bar and small restaurant a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Room was charming and AC worked well (a necessity in July 2025). Highly recommend for a quiet stay.

Friendly comfortable hotel in an enchanting village

This lovely hotel is in the narrow streets at the centre of the quiet, ancient village of Nuchis. The owner was extremely friendly, and recommended us a great route to walk in the woods, and a restaurant with wonderful food for dinner. We had a comfortable, well furnished room for the night, and a great breakfast in the morning. If you are staying in this area, this is a really good hotel in a charming village that really feels part of the local countryside, but is only just outside Tempio Pausania.

An Outstanding Find in Nuchis!

The hosts, Pina and Vanni, were engaging, helpful and very pleasant. Nuchis is an outstanding town to just relax, take walks, be amongst the locals and have a nice meal (especially at Ristorante Il Melograno). There are numerous little chapels to visit and there are several historic sites within a short driving distance. It is a nice place to decompress, enjoy the outstanding views and sample an interesting part of Sardegna. As noted in another review, the breakfast is tilted toward carbs/sweets (which I enjoy!) but others might prefer more fruits, etc. I believe that Pina and Anna do a lot of the baking and they do it quite well! Plus, the cappuccinos and caffes are quite nice! I thought the rooms, bed and air conditioning were just fine! The hosts also have some information that highlights local attractions and historical sites. They have typed this up in several different languages, which is useful since most of the other lodgers were from across Europe. Nearby, there's Tempio Pausania which has a variety of different restaurants and shops and a lovely tree-lined park. If you do visit the Nuraghe Majori site, please do check out the restaurant located there...especially if you enjoy grilled meats! I very much enjoyed my visit to Nuchis and La Casa Di Babbai!

Nice option in the country

I ended up here almost by accident (the location is quit random!), but I’m glad I did. The hotel is lovely, and the staff very friendly. Only the owners son speaks English. The building is oozing atmosphere, and the room was clean, bright and well appointed. The bathroom for a single room was massive. Breakfast in the morning was very continental, but got me through til lunch. The part gift of a few chocolates was very nice. Highly recommended.

A real treat in deep country

We found this place by chance. Loved the old building beautifully restored. Liked the fact no staff at night so it felt more like you were a tenant than hotel guest! Family who run it could not be kinder or more attentive. Loads of local info about things to see. Restaurant very near eg 3 mins walk. Lovely light room with tasteful decor. We found no negatives but a tiny area for improvement would be the breakfast. It was fine but the bread seemed from a packet and rather uninteresting. As we left we were given chox to take away which was a nice touch. Highly recommend this place.
