Lovely Villa style Hotel just off the Lakeside.

Villa Aurora is on the edge of the old town of Intra to the east of the main area of Verbania. It is a privately run Hotel, the owner spoke very good English and was most keen to ensure that we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. The room was in keeping with the style of the Hotel, not modern, but well equipped and spotlessly clean with what seemed to be brand new bedding and towels. The Villa has a small garden and terrace with on-site parking and easy access to the town centre, the breakfast offered a huge selection of typical continental fare. We thoroughly enjoyed the area of Lake Maggiorie and would recommend the Villa as a base to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again, but apparently it does (not surprisingly) get booked very quickly in the summer season so don't leave your booking to the last minute.

Just wonderful

Wonderful, friendly, family owned/run hotel in an old historical villa. Very clean and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful owners. Located in a very quiet street (the only noise you may want to hear if you open the widow is water flow from a small mountain river passing by). At the same time just a few steps away from the lake and all the main sites and places you may wish to visit in central Verbania. I had a very large rooms with a spacious bathrooms. Excellent bed. Wi-Fi (was a bit slow at some moments, but there are better things to do in Verbania than surfing the web and reading emails). Very good breakfast. Private secure parking locked during the night (but you will have the key to open the gate if needed). Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The pearl of Verbania!

If you are passing through Lago Maggiore and need a good place to sleep over this is the place to be! We've been traveling around Switzerland and wanted to make a stopover at one of the lakes in Italy. We decided to sleep in Verbania and I found this lovely Hotel. It's a great old building, well maintained and spotless clean. The couple running it were super friendly and helped us with everything in advance as well as during the stay. We felt at home right away. We got a larger corner room with a nice view. The furniture is older, by well managed. The location is close to the center, but very quiet. You can park directly in front of the place free of charge. As we ate in town I cannot comment on the kitchen. I'll book this hotel again next time I'm around.

Très agréable hôtel familial

Déjà 8 ans que nous nous rendons à la Villa Aurora et toujours cette même et très agréable sensation d’être accueillis en amis et non pas en clients.
Hôtel à gestion familiale, les propriétaires ont deux soucis principaux: rendre votre séjour le plus agréable possible et être à votre écoute pour tout ceux dont vous pourriez avoir besoin.
La maison est vraiment très belle, la décoration des chambres correspond tout à fait à la décoration des maisons familiales de La région.
Propreté impeccable, service aux petits soins, à 5 minutes à pieds du Centre Ville, parking fermé er wifi gratuit.
Un bon petit déjeuner clôture ce beau tableau .

“Si può fare di più “

Quel che resta degli antichi splendori di questa dimora, credo, dei primi del ‘900, è un ambiente abbastanza gradevole nelle parti comuni; qualche attenzione in più nella scelta degli arredi, meriterebbero le camere che risultano essere piuttosto anonime. Il personale è attento e professionale, la pulizia ineccepibile. Peccato che nel prezzo non sia inclusa la colazione.
