Romantic weekend at the end of May.
Splendid weekend at the end of May!
Everything is excellent: a pleasant and romantic location by the lake and surrounded by greenery.
Great breakfast with organic products and homemade cakes.
The pool is enjoyable.
The hotel could use some renovation, but the hospitality and location more than make up for it.

Lovely family-run hotel
Can’t praise this family-run hotel highly enough! We spent 4 days there at the end of our 3 week tour of Sicily. We hoped to have a relaxing last few days in Sicily and we certainly did! Lovely peaceful location on Lake Pergusa, a 15 minute walk to the village from where buses go to Enna. It is possible to walk (or jog or cycle) round the lake on the race-track, and there is access to the shore from the race-track also. Large, very comfortable, spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, lovely well maintained pool area and great food in the reasonably priced restaurant. The owner is very kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Highly recommended!

Nice pool but stay away from the kitchen
Nice pool but stay away from the kitchen.
Before lunch a nice experience: clean pool, well-kept area surrounded by the greenery of Lake Pergusa.
At lunch, however, everything turned upside down .. they force you not to bring food from home but consume at their restaurant. They bring you a small menu where at first glance prices are skyrocketing. We opt for sandwiches (7 Euro each) and they come with two mini rosettes not even 70g with just one tomato divided between two sandwiches, two slices of turkey claw and a handful of rocket.
After pointing out that those were not 7 euro sandwiches, the owner replies that they were "regular sandwiches and that before ordering I could ask what bread I was served". Since we are talking about a cut of Angus that then I have to ask for the grammage! Bah!
Moreover, after my complaints I am answered in an uneducated way with the typical grip by the bottoms. I think it's restaurant decency to get decent sandwiches out of the kitchen at that price and not make fun of the customers... Plus they want 3 euros Cover per person (but please), which fortunately did not charge us. Too bad about the pool and the place, but I will never come back and will not recommend it to anyone.
Customers are people and not credit cards with feet!

Disastrous experience.
A friend of mine celebrated her graduation at Hotel Riviera and, despite having booked two full days (lunches, dinners, pool party and open bar all paid), the Processing received was shameful. The staff and the owner were rude and intrusive, denied the open bar, insulted the guests, and started dismantling tables during the party. They even complained because, for fun, someone was thrown into the pool.
Although the guests were all polite and respectful, they were treated with contempt. Even food was taken away early, for no reason. A dilapidated location run in an embarrassing way. To be avoided.
