A vacation on the Coast of the Gods

Excellent stay and great hospitality! I spent a wonderful vacation in this hotel a stone's throw from the sea. The property is clean (towels are changed every day, the cleaning is perfect), welcoming, and equipped with a very nice pool. A special thanks goes to the staff, always kind, polite, and willing to satisfy every request (on the first day I got sunburned at the beach, I asked the reception for help, and they kindly brought me panthenol from the pharmacy in Pizzo). There is a piano in the breakfast room, where I was able to play with great pleasure. The restaurant is also excellent with fresh and tasty fish dishes. Thank you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly fantastic stay!

We had a truly pleasant stay at Hotel Marinella, where we felt welcomed and pampered from the very first moment.
A note of merit certainly goes to the kindness and helpfulness of everyone: from the owner, always present and attentive to the guests' needs, to the entire staff. You can perceive a great passion for their work and sincere attention toward those staying at the property.
The rooms are very clean, tidy, and comfortable, with air conditioning, a minibar, and cleaning is taken care of daily with great attention.
We chose half board and were truly satisfied: the food is delicious, with tasty and well-prepared dishes. A special mention goes to the poolside dinner, a truly super experience, both for the quality of the cuisine and for the atmosphere!
The location is excellent: the hotel is located about 4 km from Pizzo. During the summer, a shuttle is available to reach the town, starting at 8:30 PM, a very convenient service.
The sea is about 300 meters away and you can choose between both equipped beach clubs and public beaches, so there is truly the possibility to experience the sea however you prefer.
The pool is also very pleasant, ideal for relaxing, accompanied by a small kiosk where you can enjoy aperitifs and spend a few moments in total relaxation.
Ultimately, a hotel that we absolutely recommend. Excellent hospitality, cleanliness, good food, convenient location, and above all, so much kindness from all the staff.

Horrible

Terrible experience; having returned at 3 in the morning after a wedding, we were treated with truly terrible manners. We had to leave the rooms at 10 in the morning, and for those who had children and were a few minutes late, the cleaning lady knocked with extreme acidity asking to leave the room (which, what kind of cleaning does she even do!), many of us didn't have breakfast because breakfast closed at 9:30, and those who went wanted to get a croissant or coffee for their partner or child but they didn't allow it because it had to be consumed by the people themselves in the dining room.
We stopped at the pool to have lunch, but the result was terrible; the head waiter was the most arrogant person I have ever seen, uniquely rude, almost annoyed at having to manage 16 people, and yet those 16 people and the other 30 people staying there must have paid someone's salary!
I will not list the various terrible behaviors toward everyone because it would be too long a list.
I do not recommend it, especially because of the rudeness of the staff, with the exception of the only waitress who served us.
Honestly, it cannot be considered a 4-star accommodation facility.

Ci dispiace che la sua esperienza presso la nostra struttura non sia stata positiva occorre però fare delle precisazioni. Visto che lei ha parlato di gruppo che ha partecipato al matrimonio facendosi portavoce di tutti gli altri ospiti mi consenta di rispondere in generale. Al momento della prenotazione vi sono stati comunicati l'orario di check-in, check-out e prima colazione dunque se vi sembravano non idone alle vostre esigenze avreste potuto soggiornare altrove oppure prenotare le camere anche per il giorno successivo anziche pretendere di tenere in ostaggio un intera struttura gratuitamente. Lei non di dice che nonostante l'orario di check-in fosse alle 15 quasi tutti avete preteso di prendere possesso delle camere dalle ore13 e che abbiamo fatto di tutto per consentirlo e naturalmente ciò è stato possibile proprio perchè gli ospiti che hanno soggiornato la notte prima hanno rispettato l'otrario di check-out, le camere vanno ripulite... Parliamo della prima coazione quasi tutti vi siete presentati dopo l'orario di chiusura della stessa e il personale di sevzio vi ha consentito di accomodarvi, non consentiamo di portare cappuccini e altre bevande in camera perchè ci è capitato che i clienti distrattamente hanno rovinato moquette e materassi. Parla di pessimi comportaenti del personale, vorrei ricordarle che al vostro arrivo avete salutato a stento il personale della reception perchè eravati intenti a salutarvi tra di voi rendendo difficoltoso non solo la registrazione dei vostri documenti ma anche consentire l'accesso degli altri ospiti...qualcuno di voi addirittura ha ritenuto opportuno farsi registrare esibendo il tesserino di servizio e sottolineando il ruolo svolto come se ciò dovesse avre alcuna rilevanza. Per noi i clienti sono sacri e vengono ripsettati in egual modo, qualunque sia il lavoro svoto. La superficialità con cui avete trattato il personale della struttura si evince dalle parole da lei scritte, vorrei ricordarle che avevate prenotato solo delle stanze e non affittato l'intera struttura. Mi auguro di cuore che vista la delicatezza del lavoro svolto da tutti voi non decidiate della vita degli altri con la stessa superficialità con cui si ha scritto questa recensione ev arrganza con cui siamo stati trattati. Pleasant summer holiday

The hotel is in a quiet location, with swimming pool (for use not only by hotel customers) and indoor parking. A short distance away you have access to the sea (free and not). The rooms are air conditioned, spacious and very clean. The room where breakfast takes place is large. Breakfast, perhaps a little "poor" and little varied in the sense that the products are always the usual (empty croissants with or without icing sugar, pies, cold cuts, yogurt, jams and fresh fruit). Coffee or other hot beverages are produced by machine available to customers. In general, the stay, for even more than a week, is very pleasant.
