Excellent, a 10, congratulations Barceló
What can I say about this magnificent hotel? They have done the same with other hotels that the Barceló chain has revived, not only with all the investment in renovations. For me, they hire very good workers and make a good team, such as the waiters who deserve a 10; Devora is not only attentive to make you feel at home, she always brings a smile and provides excellent service. Waiter Alan in the mornings is very kind, immaculate, and Alessandro clearly enjoys keeping things spotless and ensuring that the customer enjoys the delicacies that those magnificent chefs prepare. The reception staff were a bit more serious, at least those who attended to us. Cleaning, a lot of cleaning. Comfort of beds and rooms, a 10. The downside is that at night, when leaving the hotel, there is not much light for when you catch the bus; you have to pass through certain dark areas that are the responsibility of the municipality, not the hotel. We are still making the most of our days. I do not take risks; vacations only happen once a year, and honestly, the Barceló chain is excellent. The Mallorcan family must be proud of how their parents raised them.... Congratulations.

The Hotel is amazing, decent location (15 min to touristic Rome by car and 25min from Leonardo Da Vinci airport).
The only problem there is the staff, that from day 1 seem to me they don’t want to be there( pool boy, not the short one and also the waiters who rarely come out by the pool side to look after you). They might need an extra waiter at the pool side… I spent money but struggle at one point as asking for a G&T every hour seem like a chore to them…
Bali bed…50€ for half a day(comes with some free stuff like water, fruit plate and free cocktails which again you’ll struggle to get off the waiter).
Not all the staff is poor as the receptionist are great, especially the one with curly hair ( sorry I never asked for your name )
Long story short, great hotel, location, amenities but lack of consideration and care after the guests to the point that I was chasing them to take my money for a drink or a Bali bed…

Formerly the Hotel Midas, Barceló Roma feels like an unsuccessful renovation of a large 1980s hotel. Old, stained carpeting in the corridors, outdated elevators, and dated architectural details undermine the property's appearance.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Despite four receptionists being on duty, check-in took around 20 minutes. We were given two key cards that did not work and, after returning to reception, discovered that the room assigned to us did not match our reservation (twin beds instead of a double). It took almost an hour from arrival to finally access the correct room.
The lack of professionalism at reception continued later that evening. When we asked to charge two bottles of water to our room, we were told we had to pay immediately. After paying, the receptionist still asked for our room number, which made the whole interaction feel unnecessary and rather unprofessional.
The rooms are simple but renovated with modern furnishings. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and cleanliness is good.
The clientele is mostly international, and the atmosphere feels more like a budget holiday resort than a first-class hotel. The pool is pleasant and managed by friendly staff, although the sun deck is completely shaded by mid-afternoon.
Breakfast, while varied, is below the standard expected for a hotel of this category, with many industrially produced items.

Beautiful Pool & Hotel
We traveled all around Italy in the heat of July for 2 weeks. This was the perfect place to stay the day before flying home. Spent the whole afternoon by the pool and had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. Front desk got us a cab within 4 minutes the next morning to get to the airport.

We stayed for our last night at your hotel…. It was very clean nice, and everything we needed for the last day. easy to reach by car and to get to airport. The breakfast was amazing and staff there very nice and helpful….we did not fin the receptionist very serviceminded but it does not affect the fact that we liked the hotel🇮🇹.
