Great stay

Stayed here for 4 nights on my own. It was a bigger bed than I expected, had a cosy warm feel to it with a nice view out the window. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was amazing - 15 mins from colosseum. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby and also close to Termini station.

Unhappy experience

Experience not to be repeated. Upon entering, the structure, in the room, the troubles begin. TV remote not working. No running water from the sink, only a thin stream of cold water comes out when manipulating a small lever, but as soon as the hand is raised, the stream disappears. Very little water in the shower, it varies from scalding to icy; after several attempts, it can be obtained lukewarm, but it quickly becomes icy again. No electrical outlet near the bed. Cleaning is not impeccable. Sheets are stiff, and the bed is extremely hard.
And the price is not exactly economical in relation to the inconveniences.
If one cannot maintain a structure... it should not be kept. It is not an obligation.

Basic - You get what you pay for- fine for a short stay. Not Clean.

Location: Fantastic Location on Via Nazionale. Everything we needed was in walkable distance.
Atmosphere: Lobby is nice, Room very depressing and dingy colours. Lift wasnt amazing broken twice in our 5 day stay.
Rooms: Rooms are very small basic. You getting basically what you pay for, personally had better travel lodges.
Value: £89 a night in Rome is very cheap. So i guess thats because there are little to no amenities in this guest house room.
Cleanliness: Dirty. Floors where thick with dust as was our wardrobe, bedding was clean, bathroom towels where changed everyday.
Noise level: Quiet in the hotel loud if opened the window as on a main road.
Service: Receptionist was nice. Allowed us to leave our bags on last day while we went out. No where to lock them up though just have to leave them in the reception.
Amenities: Coffee machine in room free. Glasses with that, Fridge with water at 1.50 euro per bottle.
Pros: Central fine for a short stay.
Cons: Not very Clean, Depressing colours feels very claustrophobic. Hairdryer was broken, shower was tiny! my husband is 6ft 4. Seems very old and not updates which is fine we managed but would not return.

The room is very charming and has all the necessary amenities. It is very close to the metro station. All the historical sites like the colosseum, Trevi fountain, the Roman Forum, the Spanish steps are close walking distance only a few kilometers away. It is also close to Rome termini station. The street is very safe and has many good restaurants. The staff are very friendly.

Not worth it

We stayed in room 2. By far the worst room I've ever stayed in, in all my travels. We could hear everything from the room next door even when people sneezed. We could not sleep. The bedding was stained and dirty. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The shower is so small, I hit my elbows on the door and wall. There is no complimentary water even though other places we stayed in Italy had this. There is no kettle to boil water to make tea which is also not provided. Not sure how this place has such a good rating. Only positive was the receptionist was nice and it was close to attractions.
