Fantastic stay, cannot fault a single thing! Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, same with the breakfast staff.

Photos on the listing are very misleading
This hotel is a total scam. Maybe 4 bedrooms actually have windows and a view — the rest are below street level with no natural light at all and a strong small of humidity. The bathrooms are very poorly maintained, with rust behind the sink and mold at the bottom of the shower door.
I’m shocked this is considered a 4-star hotel, especially considering how expensive it is for no apparent reason. I booked it quickly on Booking while traveling, willing to pay more for a 4-star hotel to ensure a positive and relaxing experience, and we were really disappointed.
The rest of the hotel is also in the basement, with no natural light in either the bar or breakfast area. Booking should report this listing as misleading.

As our property is located in the historic heart of Trastevere, the structure reflects the authentic architecture of one of Rome’s oldest neighborhoods. Many buildings in this area feature narrow streets, lower-ground-level spaces, and architectural limitations typical of historic Roman properties, which can naturally affect the amount of direct sunlight in some rooms.
While these characteristics are common throughout the historic center, we fully understand that they may not match every guest’s personal preferences, especially for travelers expecting a more modern hotel layout.
We are also sorry to hear your comments regarding the bathroom maintenance. Please rest assured that your feedback has been shared with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so that the necessary inspections and improvements can be carried out.
During your stay, our team also tried to assist by offering alternative solutions, including the possibility of a refund for the second night or an upgrade to a different room category by paying the rate difference, with the aim of making your stay more comfortable.

Experienced power outages on two nights during our stay — one lasting about 9 hours overnight with no AC, lights, or ability to charge devices. Front desk offered no explanation or compensation. Other reviews mention the same issue over the years, so this seems to be a recurring problem, not a one-off. Would think twice before booking. Shady place.

The only issue with this hotel is the approach. Hard for larger vehicles to pickup and dropoff. Anything letter than a small car.
Alley and stairs to the hotel entrance from dropoff was slightly jarring. But in fairness , well lit at night. Once there we felt comfortable going to and from the hotel. And a very good place to see everything.
