A grand and restful Roman base after our Mediterranean cruise
We stayed at Rome Cavalieri for two nights after disembarking from a Mediterranean cruise, and it turned out to be an excellent choice.
The hotel has a very different feel from staying in the historic centre of Rome. It is set slightly away from the busy city, on higher ground, with a resort-like atmosphere and beautiful views over Rome. For us, this was exactly what we wanted after a week of travelling with family. It felt calm, spacious and restorative.
Our room was very comfortable, with a lovely Rome view. The sense of space, the quiet setting, and the overall grandeur of the hotel made it feel like a proper end to the trip rather than just a convenient city hotel. My wife particularly liked the property.
The location may not be ideal for travellers who want to walk out directly into Rome’s historic streets, restaurants and sights. You will generally need taxis. But if you are looking for a quieter, more elevated base — especially after a busy trip — the location works very well. It was also convenient for us because we were attending the Italian Open at Foro Italico.
Service was professional and the overall atmosphere was classic and polished. The hotel feels established rather than trendy, which suited us. It has that old-school grand hotel feeling, with space, views and a sense of occasion.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay. For a short Rome extension focused on rest, tennis and a little decompression after a cruise, Rome Cavalieri was exactly the right choice.

An exceptional luxury escape with breathtaking views
Rome Cavalieri delivers a truly top-notch luxury experience from start to finish. Perched above the city, the panoramic views of Rome are unmatched and make the stay feel remarkably special.
A standout highlight was access to the Imperial Club. The lounge experience is fantastic, featuring generous, high-quality food and drink presentations throughout the entire day in an elegant, relaxing setting.
Between the gorgeous grounds, excellent hospitality, and prime club amenities, the property truly lives up to the Waldorf Astoria standard. A memorable stay that I would gladly repeat.

Superb Hotel Experience
It is a pleasure to stay at this hotel in Rome. The artwork is tremendous and the lobby magnificent. The rooms are exquisite and the Uliveto Restaurant is fantastic. The staff is exceptional! Highly recommended hotel!

Always a pleasure
Always a pleasure to stay here ( Even though currently some parts of the hotel have refurbishment going on).
The pool is very well maintained - the gentleman in charge always makes sure the loungers are set up with shade provided when required. He is a star.
The breakfasts are delicious with good service and friendly staff .
There is a shuttle bus to Rome centre - which doesn’t run as frequently as it used to and we think would be better if it just stopped when through the park
