Prime location, shared stay

We booked it for 3 people. We did not get the actual said place to stay as it was under renovation, but the room we got was good. A room with 4 beds in an apartment, well furnished with kitchen and all utilities. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Located in a prime location.

Unhealthy

We had booked a night for four people in this Pension, purpose the person took us to another squatted building, smashed door , filthy stairwell , the toilet is in part common and orible , the four-bed room with air conditioner does not make you dream
We left in the wake impossible to sleep there, the person who gave us the keys speaks neither French nor Italian
We had to take over two more rooms elsewhere.
Disappointed by the dishonesty of the seller

For those who want to have a bad stay in Rome this Inn is impeccable
You can see the status of the SDB.
The cushions and walls of the room reflect the state of cleanliness and finally the fridge that is made available should simply end up in the garbage
I didn't take the rest of the furniture and appliances because we only wanted to. It was to leave

Two ducks nightmare!

In the evening I had asked for a bottle of water because we were lost on the way back 0, not even a glass of water or a warning perhaps for some impediment, complete with a promise
Cold room, the reception is located in a different part of the accommodation, mould, dirty, strange socks under the bed, room to make yourself, not even the beds made, dirty pillows, equally separate beds, heater that made sparks, sockets not all working and certainly not as per regulations given that one of the two was completely sunk into the wall.
Not even a light bulb on a bedside table and in fact there wasn't even a bedside table.

Exactly what you should want/ expect from a hostel!

Two Ducks Hostel exceeded my expectations for a hostel and especially with some of the reviews I have read. They allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early. Rooms were large and very clean. We saw them cleaning when we arrived as well. This hostel has an elevator which was amazing as most older buildings do not. When other guests arrived on day 2, the bathroom was clearly more dirty but that is not the fault of the hostel owners, as they cleaned it every morning. I think when staying in a hostel, you should expect that the cleanliness and experience to depend largely on who else is staying there. We were given towels and bed sheets as well! On our second night, it was a bit harder to unlock the door due to the bolts not lining up, but we were able to figure it out in about 5 minutes. There is no AC or heater but you can open and close the window (will have to finagle it a bit) as you please and use the provided blankets. Traveling from the US, you should know that AC and heater is less common in many European countries so do not expect it, especially at this amazing price! The location was absolutely amazing and walkable to everything. Exactly what you should expect from a hostel!

Okay but hard to locate

Opposite the mary two hotel. It is just a brown door no signage is visable. Located on the 5th floor of the building you have to buzz into the building. We got lost following google maps and iphone maps and only was able to find it through the help of some locals.
The facilities were adequate. Rooms were large. Shared bathroom was relitavly clean but if you're looking for something fancy I would look elsewhere however it suited our needs and we felt very safe and relaxed. No problems experienced. Bed was comfy and clean. Would stay here again
