Great stay in

We stayed one night at this hotel.
Strategic location if you do not want to use the car, about 10 minutes from the metro.
The hotel is very nice and intimate, located in a quiet location. The rooms are clean, a bit dated but with comfortable pillows.
Alessandro from the super nice reception.
Definitely will be back

Friendly staff, lizard breakfast

The best thing about this hotel are the friendly, helpful & polite people at the reception. Rooms were clean, (except for a couple of squashed mosquitos on the wall).
There was aircondition and crisp bedding.
A very worn down hotel, from a leaking veranda roof, old furniture, to dusty art, plastic flowers and torn floors and appliances.
The first morning I saw a lizard sitting among the croissants. I stuck to the cappuccino (which was great).
My keycard stopped working, on average, once or twice a day. The friendly partier fixed it again and again (patiently).
I guess that the location explains the pricing.

An oasis away from the throngs of tourists

Prior to my trip in 2026, I first stayed here in 2014. This hotel is located in an elegant neighborhood with lots of embassies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s not located in central Rome, which I find appealing in the high season because it gives you a break from the throngs of tourists. The property has nice flowering plants on the outside. My higher tier room was very spacious and impeccably clean. The Wifi worked well.
The property is showing some signs of wear compared to what I saw in 2014. The carpets in the hallways, while clean, are worn in places. The AC unit in my room, while cooling well enough, could only be turned on or off by front desk staff, presumably using the breaker box. There is a lovely veranda (porch) on this property, but the staff members were instructed to keep plastic curtains down, which limited air circulation.
If visiting Rome during peak tourist season (which seems to be about 6 months of the year these days), I would consider staying here again because the property is a peaceful oasis separated from the throngs of tourists.

Quiet area but structure to improve

Let's start with the positives:
- Hotel in quiet area
- Comfortable bed
- Helpful and polite staff
Negative things:
- The hotel could use some maintenance work
- Indecent and not very clean bathroom, with peeling towel rail, botched bath/shower, badly functioning and smelly water flush
- Safe present but out of order
- The location of the structure is quiet but the rooms are not soundproofed at all
