Perfect for visiting Siena: strategic location, comfort and excellent staff
We stayed at the Hotel La Colonna Siena for a weekend to discover the city and the choice turned out to be perfect.
The hotel is located in a strategic position, just outside the historic center of Siena, convenient to reach Piazza del Campo and the Duomo in a few minutes, but with the great advantage of private parking — an added value rare in Siena.
The room was large, clean and very quiet, with comfortable bed and all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Excellent cleanliness, really impeccable.
Varied and hearty breakfast, with sweet and savory options. Perfect to start the day before visiting Siena or going on a tour of Chianti and Val d’Orcia.
Special praise to the staff: kind, professional and always available to give advice on typical restaurants, itineraries and local attractions. A careful and customer-oriented management is perceived.
We recommend the Hotel La Colonna Siena to couples, families and travelers looking for a comfortable, welcoming and excellent value for money hotel near the center of Siena.

Weekend in Siena.
On the positive side, I note the cleanliness of the hotel; as for the rest: a decentralized location in a busy area, but parking and bus stop are nearby. Breakfast was just decent. A downside was the room; although I paid for comfort, it was very small, and especially the bathroom, which was somehow carved out from the rest of the room, is unworthy of that name and deserves a solid 3.
The pool is located at the back and did not seem noteworthy to us.

La ringraziamo per aver condiviso la Sua opinione e per aver evidenziato l'ottimo livello di pulizia della nostra struttura, aspetto al quale dedichiamo grande attenzione.
Ci dispiace apprendere che alcuni elementi del Suo soggiorno non abbiano soddisfatto le Sue aspettative. La nostra posizione, leggermente esterna al centro storico, è apprezzata da molti ospiti per la facilità di parcheggio e per i comodi collegamenti con il centro di Siena tramite autobus e percorsi pedonali.
Per quanto riguarda la camera e il bagno, siamo sinceramente dispiaciuti che non li abbia trovati adeguati alle Sue esigenze. Le caratteristiche delle nostre camere possono variare in quanto la struttura è ricavata da un edificio storico, ma prendiamo molto seriamente ogni osservazione ricevuta e la utilizziamo per valutare possibili miglioramenti.
Ci spiace inoltre che la colazione e la piscina non abbiano incontrato il Suo gradimento.
Pur rammaricati nel leggere che non desidera ripetere l'esperienza, La ringraziamo per il tempo dedicato a lasciare il Suo commento e Le auguriamo il meglio per i Suoi futuri viaggi.

AWFUL
The experience was extremely negative, to the point that I could not recommend this establishment to anyone, not even an adversary, due to the behavior of a lady who is presumed to be the manager and owner of the business. She proved to be unavailable and unable to manage customer requests, also offering a double bed made up of two single mattresses pushed together, a solution that is unsuitable for adequate rest and not recommended for those suffering from back pain. Despite everything, the staff shows no attention towards the interlocutor, collecting payments without showing any regret or displeasure.

Ci rammarica particolarmente sapere che non si sia sentito adeguatamente ascoltato e assistito durante il soggiorno. Il nostro obiettivo è sempre quello di accogliere ogni ospite con cortesia e disponibilità, pertanto prendiamo molto seriamente le Sue osservazioni riguardo all'interazione avuta con il personale e la direzione.
Per quanto riguarda il letto, desideriamo precisare che alcune delle nostre camere sono dotate di letti matrimoniali composti da due materassi singoli affiancati, una soluzione adottata da molte strutture alberghiere per garantire maggiore flessibilità nella gestione delle sistemazioni. Comprendiamo tuttavia che questa configurazione possa non essere gradita da tutti gli ospiti e ci dispiace che abbia influito negativamente sulla qualità del Suo riposo.
Siamo spiacenti che il soggiorno non abbia soddisfatto le Sue aspettative e che abbia lasciato la struttura con un'impressione così negativa. I commenti dei nostri ospiti rappresentano per noi un'importante occasione di riflessione e miglioramento.

Poor service
Location quite inconvenient, the hotel is about 25 minutes walk from Piazza del Campo and you walk a bit in the middle of the street. There is a free parking space in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I arrived at 11:30 a.m. and had already expected that my room would not be ready yet and laid down by the pool. Due to stronger winds almost a heavy umbrella fell on me, which was not properly secured on the ground!!!!!! The receptionist said that my room was ready from 2pm, so I went back there at 2pm and was assured that it would only take 5 minutes. It was ultimately 35 minutes!!!! If I had been told it would take longer, I would have done something else. In addition, all the rooms of the guests who came after me were already ready. Maybe my room could have been preferred, because you knew I had already arrived?! The room was relatively large but very old (smell of "old") and unfortunately very noisy.

Good hotel, comfortable with all comforts
