Great service, really nice people, great dishes, fantastic spaghetti alla Nettuno with lots of fish and delicious seafood salad.
In the center of Stresa, among the narrow streets full of shops, a walk and then a truly excellent lunch.

We were disappointed overall by our stay at the Hotel Da Cesare. The cleanliness was average: even if the sheets seemed clean, they did not smell fresh, which gives a bad first impression. The bed was very uncomfortable, the old shower, with an impractical curtain, and the whole bathroom deserves a real renovation. The doors creak, and the soundproofing is very bad, making the nights difficult.
We finally decided to leave before the end of our stay, because the comfort was not there.
The only 2 positives, are the location, very central, close to all restaurants and main activities and the welcome of the staff who are friendly.
Unfortunately, we will not return and cannot recommend this hotel.

Good Location and Effective

Ideal location for a short stay in Stresa.
The welcome is nice and is done in the restaurant. The rooms are old but very clean and there is the necessary for the stay. Breakfast takes place in the restaurant, it is made up of slices of Genoese cakes that are a bit stuffy. Tea, coffee, chocolate and fruit juice for drinks are offered with kindness.

Central, comfortable and functional hotel

A few steps from the central Piazza Cadorna, the hotel flanks the restaurant of the same name and uses the same management.
The structure dates back to the early twentieth century and reproduces its style: there is no lift, narrow stairwell, rooms with classic key.
Our room, on the second floor, clean and bright, had another room with two bunk beds for family use. Small bathroom, with shower but without bidet, comfortable bed, large wardrobe, desk, small TV, no fridge.
The sweet and savory breakfast (served at the table) is adequate, even with homemade cakes.
However, the centrality of the location and the courtesy of the managers make us forget any possible shortcomings.
Definitely recommended for those who don't make too many demands.

Price performance top

Very small hotel right in the city center of Stresa.
Right next to the harbor and the large outdoor parking lot for €10 per day. The lake promenade is very nice with wooden benches and the restaurant on the lake shore.
Clean rooms, very quick staff. The breakfast was very good with service from the hotel owner.
