Excellent base right in the center of town.
For our vacation in Ustica, various possibilities were offered to us, such as apartments, residences, and more, but to ensure total relaxation, we preferred this hotel. Let's clarify things right away: we are not talking about a 5-star luxury hotel. But about a clean and comfortable accommodation right in the center of town. The rooms were clean and of good size, the beds (definitely) comfortable, and the bathrooms well-equipped (shower with a handheld sprayer and rain showerhead, sink, and the essential bidet), even if the seal on our shower door had given way a little, without, however, causing water to spill outside.
The room (I imagine all of them) has a mini-fridge, a safe, and a desk. If we really have to find a flaw, we would have preferred a few more shelves in the closet to better organize our clothes, but we managed anyway. Like in many vacation areas, the air conditioner turns off if you open the window (and who would be so obtuse as to turn it on with the windows open? Clearly there is someone) so we spent most of the time with the windows closed since the heat was truly impressive during those days.
Our room was in the annex, near the small street, and in fact, as noted by others, every now and then you could hear a car/scooter pass by or a passerby talking: it did not seem like a noise that was annoying, and at night such noises were completely absent since traffic is diverted after a certain hour. The window also has a small terrace with a staircase that goes down to the street (blocked by a large planter anyway) where, if you want, you can hang out some clothes to dry (we took advantage of it to dry our wetsuits).
The breakfast was excellent, served in the large room on the third floor of the main building, with a beautiful view of the town rooftops and the sea: a great variety and choice of pastries and drinks, coffee and cappuccino as you like; during our stay, apparently, no one asked for a "savory" breakfast. Half-board service is not available, but considering the island's bars and restaurants, all quite close, it is certainly not a problem.
Both the main building and the annex have automatic doors that open with the room key card, so they are accessible even after the reception closes. This gives you access to the drink refrigerators (obviously for a fee) and the water dispenser, including cold and sparkling water, which can be used by guests as they please.
Upon arrival, you are greeted directly at the port by the hotel shuttle, which takes you to the town, avoiding the (long) climb with luggage, and the same service is offered upon departure.
In short, we had a good time and the courtesy of the owners was truly exquisite. Do we plan to return? Certainly.

A hotel in the center for a very pleasant holiday
Great stay at this hotel for courtesy, organization, breakfast and room. If you arrive at the port you will have a shuttle that avoids all the climb up to the historic center of the town great courtesy of the owners who are associated with an organization that begins with the possibility of using a water dispenser, ice to take with you during boat trips. The room is clean, with bathroom, TV and minibar. Very good breakfast with homemade cakes and beautiful sea views.

Very nice.
Small 3* unpretentious hotel where we had a very pleasant stay (it must be said that the island of Ustica is a rather exceptional place). Very warm Welcoming (a French-speaking lady and a gentleman with whom we manage), free luggage and travellers transfer from the port to the hotel (and return). Fizzy or still water dispenser at will, nice to fill the bottles. No catering but it is 2 minutes from the restaurants in the main square. Hearty and varied breakfast buffet, in a room with breathtaking views of the port and the sea. Functional and air-conditioned rooms, comfortable bedding, clean sanitary facilities. A little extra for divers; on the roof on the 4th floor there is a rinse tank and wires to stretch the laundry (and a very nice view). We recommend!

Hospitality and magic!
Hello we are Manfredi and Riccardo Surely if we come again we will come to you: 1. You eat well 2. We found two friends: 1 John (the turtle) 2 Charles (the horse at the wooden entrance) 3. We picked from the garden: aubergines (which we roasted at the barbecue outside), lemons, pomegranates, 1 peach and cherry tomatoes 4. Fantastic view and especially the spectacular rooms!!!
