There was wifi in the room, it was clean (the airconditioning was quite dusty though) and the location was quite close to the station. There is no private shower in our room, so all baths have to be taken in the communal onsen. There are two baths in the level one bath, and just one in the basement bath. Still, a very good experience and it was quite convenient for a two-night stay.

Lovely place. Some staff can speak English, some can't, but all of them were very friendly and helpful. Location is just 5 minutes walk from the main station and bus stop on the main street. The food was outstanding and stunning in presentation. The hot spring has indoor and outdoor areas. The room was spacious but can be super cold during winter (and there's no hot water system in the bathroom due to old facilities). But overall, best experience, would love to come back :)

Amazing breakfast

Very clean ryokan and the onsen hotpools are good. Breakfast is amazing.
The lady manager is very friendly and helpful.
Only unhappy that the chambermaid threw our belongings all over the room when she came in to make the room because we didnt know that the cupboards were for keeping the futons and we placed our belongings in there. She could at least put our belongings on the room table than strewn it all over the room floor.

We loved everything, its walking distance of restaurants and bars, the room is huge and clean, they do room service everyday, they provide you drinking water everyday as well, the staff is friendly and helpful!

Lovely, charming, breakfast was fantastic.

We only stayed here for one night and I wished it was more. The walk to the station is not far at all especially with suitcases on wheels. We arrived early and left our cases at the Ryokan and went for a walk around town and did all the tourist things. Ropeway, cable car, and even black eggs.
We arrived back at the Ryokan exhausted. The lovely lady that runs the place was there to greet us. She was sweet and even with slight language barriers we had a few laughs and lovely customer service. We were taken to our room that was beautiful.
Beds were comfortable, warm and cozy. The bathroom clean and sitting area was good. We used the shared bathroom it was a fun experience and a soak after a wash was fabulous.(tip 1: don't forget your little bag with your towel that is in the cupboard in your room.) We also booked the private roof top onsen (tip 2: take a bottle of water to drink with you as the water is hot)
Yukatas were great and ninja sock were fun to wear.
I only wish we had pre booked dinner there as the breakfast was AMAZING. I would definitely not miss out on the breakfast if your thinking about it, traditional beautiful and delicious.
Lots of restaurants within walking distance for dinner if you don't arrange anything.
I would very happily return here for another stay. And have already recommended this place to friends.
It might not be 5 stars on the books but my husband and I loved it.
