Location You’ll be sleeping tight! Hotel «Ohmaru Onsen Ryokan» is located in Nasu. This hotel is located in 17 km from the city center.At the hotel Spend an evening in a nice atmosphere of the bar. Hot springs, good food, all good
A hot spring Inn said to be a secret hot spring in Okunasu.
The distance is only bordering Fukushima prefecture, but it takes an hour to get there from the Nasu IC of the Tohoku Expressway, so it's not that hard.
If you make a Reservation in advance, you can pick up and drop off at the nearest station (please check with the inn in advance)
If you go by car, you can't park your car in front of the inn, but you can walk to the prefectural parking lot (free of charge) about 300 meters.
In front of the entrance, you can hear hot springs flowing out. The water is very abundant.
Upon arrival at the inn you will be directed to the side lobby, but you will be free to have a welcome drink.
Here, the relics of General Nogi from the Russo-Japanese War are displayed, and it is said to be an inn connected with him.
Inside, it's a little confusing, but once you get used to it, you don't have to get lost. In the middle of the room was a drinking fountain.
The hot springs are another highlight.
There is no gender swap, but the best is the open-air bath (actually a natural river).
The open-air bath is divided into three parts, but it is mixed with men and women. However, bathing clothes (short pants for men and dark brown for women in dresses) are provided, so you don't have to worry too much about the eyes of the opposite sex (personal comments).
The bottom of the open-air bath was a riverbank, and my feet touched the gravel directly, which felt a little painful but was like a foot massage.
There is a public bath called "Shika no Yu" nearby, but the quality of the spring was completely different, and it was quite gentle.
I had my meal at the restaurant, but it was virtually separate like a private room, so I didn't have to worry about the eyes of others.
The food was delicious and the amount was just right.
It is possible to order them on a tablet.

Too bad for the cost.
The interior is too small and uneven to be used
The blanket is heavy because the lighting cannot be adjusted
Quite a personal comment, but the washroom, the mirrors facing each other, horrified me.
Forty-five days now, there's a lot of places to put a coffee machine, but not everyone likes coffee, so why not put an electric kettle like a tiffar in that space, or maybe have a tea bag or a green tea or a tea cartridge that you can use in a coffee machine?
The semi-private dining room was too noisy for the other guests to calm down and savor, and for an hour after I entered the room, the serving stopped at the pottery, the food was gone, the liquor was sooty, I was dumbfounded.
I was expecting to forage for a meal of seasonal origin, sorry for both evening and morning… Do you want to roast cold red fish pre-baked in the morning on the table again? You'll feel stiff… The sad thing is that the only thing I could eat for breakfast was hot spring porridge, as the miso soup in the small pot was too salty to eat, depending on my taste
That's way too bad for $60,000.
Picking a place to stay on the last day of a three-night, four-day fall trip was a disaster, and I should concede, Ripi is not.

Excellent service. Nice facilities with great quality of onsen(indoor as well outdoors). Food is very good served with Japanese traditional cuisines .

This is a wonderful, hidden hot spring inn.
I stayed here for an overnight trip.
The staff at this inn were amazing. I parked my car in the parking lot and was taken care of by a shuttle bus, and the driver's attention to detail was wonderful.
When I arrived at the inn...to be honest, the building is not new, but it was well cleaned and well maintained, and I had a very pleasant stay.
And the food, dinner was amazing. I won't go into detail for those who are going to the inn, but I was very satisfied.
The hot spring has enough water to be dumped into the river, and the water is neither hot nor lukewarm, but just right, so you can enjoy a comfortable bath. The open-air bath in particular is very large compared to the number of people the inn can accommodate, so you can relax and take your time in it, to the point of feeling lonely.
This is a hidden hot spring inn, so the best thing about it is the hot spring, but as I wrote at the beginning, the staff, from veterans to young people, were all very polite, and that was my biggest impression. It's an inn worth visiting at least once.

Very exclusive with the nature
At the very end of the mountain side. It is very private and exclusive. They have male only, female only and mixed bath. The baths in open areas are blended Into the nature. As it is in the highland, the temperature is about 5 degrees lower which is nice for onsen. The traditional Onsen dinner is very nice and worth the value.
